Where does the game save the data to when you save a custom character? I tried putting in a custom path to an obvious spot and nothing appears there when I save so what the fuck?

The default is just "/mods" and there is no folder named "mods" anywhere on my computer.

I think the default would be the cache or something like that.

But you can export all your custom chars into a .sdt file somewhere on your computer. With this file you can reload them next time :)

    Regarding the "\mod"
It is only a suggestion. This folder doesn't exist if you did not create it.
    Maybe this helps you: http://superdeepthroat.ryonani.com/index.php?topic=2578.msg29399#msg29399

Well I am trying to use a mod and it says to place the file, "In your custom character folder." and I've spend like 2 hours trying to figure out what the hell that is.

If using the loader then follow the structure of the example folders.
You cannot use the built in save with the loader, this has been made clear repeatedly.

Can't get it to work, thats what I tried originally.

I'm using the mod under "Positions" the "Arms Up - Back Position".

I threw together this character just to test it.

    I just call it "TestChar"

I put these files into the folder.
    boots.swf
    position.txt
    hr_demonhorns.swf

I make a mods.txt file and in that I put
    boots.swf
    position.txt
    hr_demonhorns.swf

Load up the character in-game and the boots and demonhorns load, but the arms remain unchanged. I also tried to do with leaving position.txt out of mods.txt and same effect.

    This?

EDIT: Ok I see the problem, the file is somehow named .txt.txt even though when its not in the archive its just .txt

    Now it works.

    Swear to fucking god...

Thank you for your help, if not for you I would have never noticed that.
