As Marek's latest victim thrashes and writhes, her blood and piss spraying out violently between her legs, he had the sense to sate his bloodlust and close a thick hand around her throat, choking off any last scream she might try to let out. Even as she begins to expire, hands pressed desperately between her legs to stem the flow of her fluids, Marek was already moving toward the last member. He eyed Tress... Tara? -- The holy woman.

"I see being a woman of the cloth has not dulled your instincts. You have a killer in you yet." He turned toward the elf as an arrow whizzes across the room. He frowned, his doubts about his elven "ally" evident on his face. Still, she would be an extra hand against the pirates, and he readied to intervene on her behalf.

Either Defend or Aid, depending on if the last girl makes any aggressive at Vera. If they're not needed, he's going to see if he encountered anything similar to these girls before in his days with the Blood Axes (Spout Lore).

Vera fires wildly unable to keep a modicum of stable footing on this deathtrap of an airship. She has no doubt that the entire thing wouldn't plunge into the surface had it not been for the gods' desire to watch her suffering.

Seeing the huge advantage that her comrades and she composed, she stands up and Parlays in an attempt to convince the remaining girl to surrender.

"If you give up now we may very well spare you from both humiliation and death!" Vera proposes confidently.

Marek rolls to Spout Lore, and rolls an 8.
He vaguely remembers fighting against a group of militia women for a mageocracy that were outfitted with spellbinder's gauntlets. He knows that while the gauntlets allow for inexperienced magic users to cast low-tier spells, at the expense of draining the users stamina very quickly.

Vera rolls an 8!
The incredibly frightened young girl tearfully accepts Vera's mercy in between sobs, and offers to help her any way she can. She asks though that Vera promises her that she will spare her and let her free after the fight, stating that she no longer wishes to be a part of the group, and just wants to return home to her family in the countryside.

What is about to happen? Teresa hopes that the noise down here hasn't attracted the rest of the bandits. Otherwise there may not be much time for introductions.

Once everyone is finished with their moves, then I will make my GM move which is what will advance the story further.

Are the gloves worth money? Is there a "loot the bodies" move?

"Where are your friends then, girl?" Marek sneers as he looms over their new captive, getting ready to go top side to confront them. "How many are aboard this ship?" He had naught but contempt for the young brat. Perhaps there her friends will bring a more worthy fight to him.

Vera agrees to the terms the girl has laid forth. She would throw the child overboard at the first moment she had the chance, but for now the young thing was no longer a threat.

"You have my words that you will be treated with the utmost respect and civility, and when we have the opportunity we will return you to your homeland." She lied as naturally as she had lied to so many others along the way.

This poor little girl, caught up in a fight well beyond her skill. Truly her fault but Vera was never one to put salt in wounds.

She looks up at Marek and Vera, and tries to speak some more, but gets choked up on her sobs. No doubt she was not ready for this, nor had she truly ever seen the horrors and carnage of battle.
All around the room, four other her peers lay twisted and dying on the floor, twitching in piles of their own blood and urine, a pitiful and shameful way to pass from the world, a befitting fate for such wretched young women.

Finally, the whimpering brat is finally able to open a coherent sentence.
"Th-here is 10 more us top side...along with Acolyte Elana...Please, don't let her know I'm helping you I...I just want to see my sister again."

She fights back another cry, and attempts to pick herself up from the floor. Her wobbly knees, weak from the shock of the bloodshed she had just witnessed, struggle to keep her standing. The miserable girl's face instantly contorts to that of immense shame as she notices the puddle of shame below her she had made as she cowered in her sight. The front of her dress skirt soaked along the bottom trim.

Truly, a worthless runt like her was only good for tossing to her doom, at least maybe her cries would be of some enjoyment.

Marek decides to go and loot some of the bodies, starting first at the raven haired sister whose womanhood he had pulverized with his axe. He first removed her gauntlets, surely thinking such magical tools would fetch a decent price at market. Next, he pulled off the dead girl's boots. He wasn't sure how much they would fetch for from a trader (especially if they knew where they came from) but they looked of fine enough quality. Marek smiled as he slipped of the left boot, and discovered 5 Gold Coins hidden in the footwear.

Leaving the now barefoot, and mangled corpse, Marek gets to work looting another, when suddenly there is a loud crack as a ball of fire sails through the room and hits an unaware Teresa in the back! Her armor takes the brunt of the attack, but she is still knocked to the ground and suffers 1 Point of Damage. Another fire ball sails through, and strikes a crate next to a still looting Marek. The crate explodes, igniting the the area around Marek. Soon, the whole cargo hold and eventually the entire lower deck will be engulfed in flames!

Standing down the hall, you each spot the source of the attacks. Three more of the bandit mages stand at the ready with their blades drawn, two of them with their gauntlets directed toward you.

"You bastards!" one shouts, "You'll pay for messing with the Sisterhood of Kirel!"
The other two at her side stand with their swords at the ready, waiting for you to make your move. You don't think that they are aware of the of the fire they had just started in the cargo hold...you really would like a word with the genius who decided to arm these idiots.

Ten more of the bitches up top side. That was all Marek heard from the girl's pleas. So long as the whelp stayed out of the way, he didn't care what happened to her. He turned and crouched down over the bodies, picking through them efficiently. He was about to call the others to join him when fire erupted from the the entrance to the hold, spilling over the wooden floor like a living liquid.

"By the Gods," he hissed, recognizing the danger of the flames and fumes, "we have to get out of here." He put away his loot. A division of spoils will have to come later. Moving quickly, he seize the lower half of a chest that had splintered in the carnage and held it up in front of him as a shield. "Up and at 'em!" he bellowed behind him as he charged up the stairway. He was under no illusion that the reinforced wooden framework would hold against a magical barrage. As the bandit mages ready another barrage, he heaves the wreckage at them, hoping to intercept the fireball and set it off in their faces.

Teresa looked upon the sight in front of her with disgust. Just a second ago these bandits were so sure of themselves. It took four of her friends dying horribly for this one to realize her mistake. It was hard to have pity on the girl.

Before Teresa could decide how to act however, something impacted her from behind and knocked her to the floor. She was not hurt too badly fortunately. A testament to either her armor or just how weak those gloves were. Turning around she found the source of her new troubles. Not only were there more of the cretins, but they had managed to start a blaze in the cargo hold.

"How annoying, looks like we'll have to save introductions for later, no?"

With the blaze quickly spreading, Teresa's new goal was to get out of the hold as quickly as possible. And these idiots were in her way. She readied her sword and shield and charged at the spellcasters, ready to make quick work of them.

Gonna go with Defy Danger for this one.

Marek attempts to power through the growing infernio, holding out the piece of the chest in front him as a shield from the licking flames.
He rolls a 6!

Marek's shield is quickly engulfed in the flames, and in a sudden moment of panic, throws it aside. Now vulnerable to the flames, he feels the immense heat bruning at his legs. He takes 4 points of damage.

Picking herself up, Teresa charges toward the girls blocking the exit. She rolls a 12! With a holy war cry, she cleaves through the girls with her longsword, dealing 7 points of damage, taking out two of the three!

If she wishes however, she may deal an additional 6 points of damage to completely destroy the last bandit mage, at the expense of Teresa taking 3 points of damage.

Hot, hot, hot. Marek curses his luck as the flame seem to spill around the sides of the make shift barricade and engulf him forcing him to toss it aside. Perhaps he had bought the holy woman time to close the gap. He takes a moment to put out the flames that clung to his legs, and then charges in after his ally, intent on helping her butcher the remaining mages.

Do I take 4 damage after 3 points armor? I will Aid (+1 bonds) her if she hasn't finished her work alone.

With armor, I'll always take into account the amount of armor a character wears when giving out the damage total.

Marek rolls to help Teresa finish off the girls blocking the exit, and rolls a 12! Seeing as Teresa's roll was already enough to take out 2 (or 3 if she takes damage) of the girls on her own, we'll just say that this will allow Marek to defeat the last hostile standing (provided there is one after Teresa's attack)

She may deal an additional 6 points of damage to completely destroy the last bandit mage, at the expense of Teresa taking 3 points of damage.

As Teresa charged the three mages, she notices, much to her amazement, the drunkard attempt to combat the oncoming fireballs with a piece of wood.

"Is he for real?! Let me show him how its done."

The distraction the Fighter posed gave Teresa all the time she needed to close the gap on the three mages unnoticed. Taken by surprise, the bandits were slow to react. Teresa extended her right hand and her sword slashed across the belly of one of the spellcasters. A mess of entrails and blood poured out as the bandit sunk to her knees, moaning in agony and attempting to put the organs back in place. With Teresa's left hand, she slammed her shield full force into the face of another spellcaster. The massive impact broke the mage's nose, shattered most of her teeth and sent her reeling to the floor.

The final mage, with a look of pure desperation on her face, launched a point blank fireball into Teresa's chest. The close proximity of the attack resulted in Teresa taking more damage now than from the previous sneak attack. However, it was still not strong enough to stop the Paladin's assault. Teresa kicked out at the woman's gut, knocking the wind out of her and forcing her to bend over. With a swift motion, she then performed a downward thrust on the mage with her sword, the force of which impaled the girl and cut through her spine.

She then looked over to her two allies.

"Perhaps we should get a move on?"

Marek staggered in behind Teresa, the hangover suddenly stung as he climbed the stairs. He wore a wide grin as he saw the carnage that the paladin has wrought in her wake. Hers was the sort of religion he could get behind. He casually swaggered to the twitching body of the mage, a puddle forming under her crushed face.

"Ya miss one." He made a point of raising his shield, laughing as he brought the metal lower rim down through the girl's neck. Already the fumes and smoke were filling the corridor. "Go on. I'll meet you top side." He turned down the corridor toward his quarters, where he had stashed his "elven relic". No sense going halfway through a ruse, after all.

It isn't D&D 'til you split the party!

OOC: If anyone had any character's from official sources or even just images/ideas for combatants they'd like to go up against, I can try and figure out a way of putting them in as some sort of enemy working for the antagonist/random encounter.
So say if someone says "I really like character from (insert videogame here)", and I'll try to insert her in as a baddie at some point.

Vera had just witnessed these two lay waste to everything in their path. The fact that they shrugged off fireballs made her a little more nervous to be around them. At least they're on my side... for now. She thought to herself. Moving carefully through the smoke and flame filled she forced the young captive in front of her using her as a shield from the flames.

"You first." Vera barked at the girl forcing her up the stairs and onto the deck. Gazing around Vera took in the scene of combat topside as her eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight.

Vera forcefully grabbed the cowering young girl, yanking her up by her hair as she yelped in pain and protest.

"Eep! No! Wait, let me go! What are you going to do to- OW! OW! NO! PLEASE! MERCY! YOU PROMISED ME! NOOOO!"

Vera remorseless pushes the girl through the flames as she uses her to shield herself from the flames that have now engulfed the cargo hold. If by some miracle any of those girls from earlier had survived their injuries from the ambush, then the flames would make painfully short work of them now...

Vera manages to get herself and the now singed hostage to the top deck, where the rest of the group has joined. Casually tossing the wailing mess of a woman to the floor. The girl hastily begins to put out the small flames that caught her uniform, and after pitifully flopping around on the floor, succeeds in smothering the flames. By that time however, her uniform is nothing left but burned tatters, revealing most of her now nude, and scarred body from where the flames had mercilessly licked her young flesh. Exhausted, and in horrible pain, the pitiful girl passes out from shock with her bare rear end up in the air...how shameful, Vera thinks. Truly a fitting end for these wannabes.

Observing the scenery above top deck, Vera and co stand head on against the rest of the invading force.

T4Cpxhn.png

As expected, more of the weak gauntlet users. They seemed to be expecting you, know doubt hearing the wails of their now dead comrades. They seem to be positioned in a guarding formation in front of what appears to be their leader...

ZF8EeCN.jpg

This must be the Acolyte Elana the girl's had mentioned earlier. She seemed to be a cut above the wretched whelps you slaughtered already, hopefully she'll be of more of a challenge for you.

"Those idiots!" Elana shouts, "Not only did they have to go and die like pigs, but then they ignite the cargo!? "

Her face seems to be fuming with anger as she shouts, she suddenly regains her composure as she turns her gaze toward the "heroes".

"Hmph! Guess I'll just have to vent my anger on you three, and send you to hell along with those other harlots! INITIATES! FOWARD!"

And with that, the swarm of girls descended upon the party, and a chorus of girlish wails as they charged into you all swords at the ready!

Vera takes a moment to observe the situation, hoping that perhaps finding a weak spot will end these tediousness sooner. She rolls a 13.

Do I encounter anything while I retrieve my stuff from my quarters? Or should I join in the fray shortly thereafter?
Sorry, missed your move. No, Marek didn't run into anything on the way to and back from retrieving his belongings.

Arriving at the deck of the ship with the elf, it seems that dumb girl wasn't lying after all. There were indeed a lot more bandits up here. The majority of them looked to be as weak as the previous bunch, but their leader was who really caught Teresa's eye.

"So she's in charge here huh? Wonder what someone like that is doing out here. Oh well...guess I'll just have to beat the answers out of her!"

Teresa took up her arms and stood to defend the elf archer.

"Hey you! The pagan with the pointy ears! You don't look like you can take more than a couple of hits and I'm sure you've seen what we can do together. Allow me to keep you safe from these idiots while you pick them off."

(Roll Defend on Vera)
