So I normally have no issue getting mods to work just fine, if not the first time then after fucking around with it. But I for the life of me can not get the thicker ass and legs mod to work. Any help would be great.

  • Which version of the mod are you using?
    • The Loader repack should work in most cases, but Patrice's original SWF files are available and might prove to be more reliable.
    • Please note that a similar mod was created recently by @cosmo777.
    • It should be possible to use any or all of these mod files side-by-side (e.g. by including copies of the files in different Character Folders) ... but if you're having trouble then you might wish to focus on one specific file and exclude all of the others.
  • How are you trying to use the mod?
    • It ought to work via manual loading ("Swf mod..." button), via a Character Folder, or via moreClothing.
    • If you're having trouble with one of those techniques, then you might find success by trying out another.
    • A precise description of how you're trying to use the mod (or a list of any troubleshooting steps that you've already taken) may help us to detect errors, correct misunderstandings, or identify inter-mod conflicts.
  • Which version of SDT are you using?
    • The Loader repack won't work properly with the vanilla game; it requires the SDT Loader.
    • @Patrice's files should work with the vanilla game.
    • Some Loader packs include a copy of the Thicker Ass and Legs by default; if you're trying to add a second copy of the mod then that might confuse things.
  • Does the game generate any exceptions?
    • Try running the game via the Flash Player Projector content debugger (instead of the standard Flash Player Projector app).
    • Start the game normally; let it run through any initialization stuff. When the game is ready to play, try to load the Thicker Ass and Legs mod in the way that you normally would.
    • The game's code (and/or mod code) might encounter a serious error at this point. Such errors are normally hidden from you, but if you're using hte content debugger tool then error messages will be shown in the form of a popup window.
    • If an error occurs, then please copy-paste the error message into a forum post so that we can investigate.

So I'm trying to get it to run through the moreclothing, but it's just not showing up in the game. I'm not sure if I'm putting the code in the wrong line or if I put the mod itself in the folder. I figured I would ask before just going through every possible solution as that would take quite some time. As for the version it's one that you actually uploaded and the loader I'm using is the most recent, I would like to get it to work so I could change the hue.

Can you please confirm that the thigh mod works correctly if you load it manually (via the "Swf mod..." button)?

If so, then we can proceed with the moreclothing stuff. If not, then we're probably facing a more fundamental error (or misunderstanding).

So I'm trying to get it to run through the moreclothing, but it's just not showing up in the game.
moreclothing has the ability to skip/ignore body mods which include the var overwrite:Boolean=true flag. The Thick Thighs mod does use that flag. Please open your configuration file (Settings\moreclothingV6_4settings.txt) and ensure that the allowoverwritingbody parameter is set to 1.

Code:
+allowoverwritingbody=1

I'm not sure if I'm putting the code in the wrong line or if I put the mod itself in the folder.
We need both. You must put the sdt-thickerAssAndLegs.mod file into your moreclothingmods folder. A suitable configuration entry must also appear in the moreclothing settings file.

The position of this configuration entry isn't hugely important. We typically add new entries to the bottom of the file (due to laziness). If you prefer to add it to the middle of the file (in order to fit into your own categorization scheme, or to maintain alphabetical order, or whatever) then please feel free to do so.

The configuration line should be something like this:
Code:
sdt-thickerAssAndLegs.mod=Thicker Ass and Legs

If you've manually renamed the file (e.g. changed the *.mod extension to *.swf, or renamed the whole thing to BigBouncyButtocks.mod) then you'll need to edit my configuration line so that it matches your local filename.

the loader I'm using is the most recent
When you see a question like "which version are you using?", please try to give a quantitative answer.

Your reply tells me that you believe you're using the latest version. That's reassuring, because it suggests that you've investigated and double-checked ... but it's still possible that your belief is incorrect. You might have missed out on a minor update because the Undertow server sent a notification message but your email service rejected the message as spam. You might be using the latest version of a popular modpack, but that modpack hasn't been maintained and so your copy of the game is lacking a few hotfixes. You might even be using a newer-than-expected version of the game (i.e. an unofficial/unstable build). Or you might be running an unofficial translation, or a sound-replacement pack, or something along those lines. Those two examples both use the latest SDT code, but they could be susceptible to new and exotic bugs which don't appear in the standard build.

We can drop the Loader-version topic, because the current problem seems to be a moreclothing configuration issue. But please keep this in mind for future tech support inquiries. Try to avoid statements such as "I'm using the latest version of Windows" or "my copy of Firefox is up-to-date."

I would like to get it to work so I could change the hue.
You don't need moreclothing for that. It's still a good idea to setup the aforementioned moreclothing stuff, because it will allow you to quickly toggle between regular thighs and thick thighs. But if you load the thigh mod manually (or via a Character Folder) then it will respond to the Her Skin HSL sliders.

moreclothing's +reghue feature will allow you to independently manipulate the thighs. So if you want the girl's torso to be red and her thick thighs to be green ... then that's an option :) But if you intend to change the hue of the the girl's entire body then you don't need to rely on +reghue.

It's kind of weird, so I can get it to work through the modding tab. However, it does tend to decide when it wants to work. I'd say an average 1 out of 4 tries will work; once it's working I have no issues with the mod. Might just be me idk, that's why I'm here I'm so confused.

SDT imports don't have much internal complexity. If a mod works intermittently then you're probably seeing an external conflict. Please try to run the game through the Flash Player Projector content debugger so that we can observe any runtime exceptions. Hopefully the game will provide a popup error message when the mod fails to load, and we'll then be able to identify and resolve the underlying problem.

Have you had any success in getting the mod to work via moreclothing? Or is that approach just not working at all?
