well, a "next" line would require a line to end with [next] to trigger the "next" line to trigger, if I understand the way custom dialogue lines work correctly. An example might be:
general:"I'm going to make a long speech here, that takes awhile to play out, so I'm going to split my long speech across two lines of dialogue"[next]
next:"See, this way, one line triggers after the first, allowing sequential dialogues."
Another way this could be used is for an exchange back and forth between him and her, by having the first line said by one of them, then setting the "next" line to the other character's style.
