For a 2D beat-em-up, the issue really is the amount of animations you'd need. OpenBOR isn't that hard to learn compared to other game making software (I used to know it myself, but that was a long time ago and I assume a lot has changed). It's theoretically possible to edit Streets of Rage 4 characters, but again, that's all about the number of sprites that would need to be created. As far as editing 3D games, I'd probably look into whether the models in the PC version of Yakuza 0 can be edited. Whatshisname (sorry) already has replaced generic enemies with women and they already kick. Question would be if their outfits can be modded in Blender or elsewhere and then be replaced in-game.

A 3D beat 'em up in the vein of Dynamite Deka or Fighters Club or even a game like Batman Arkham series based on Aika would be very epic, but the zakos shouldn't be limited to Delmos only. White Knights and the swimsuit girls and Karen clones from R-16 would be nice additions

I don't game. Haven't got the time or the money (need new hardware) for these new games.

But you guys are so absolutely right.

Much of the game engine can be found in other productions. I think we just need to wait for some commando type game, where you pose as a first person shooter and fighter. That's what Aika would do, alternately use guns and her own fists to bring down her enemies.

I think the zakos can start with the anime Delmos first, if only because they are most recognizable. But once the basics are in place, all my different zako types can be introduced. I think basically just need fans to make the skins or models of different zakos, create their own clothes mods, throw in their own statistics for differently spec-ed Delmos. And we'll be able to play as Aika or the other members of her party.

So maybe the game won't really need anyone to make. Someone will find ways to mod an existing game, and quickly share the knowledge, and at that point, only need a fairly small amount of money to pay people to make a game mod to my liking. Now you can play a hero-like character to take down sexy female zakos!

From Ghost in the Shell, SAC_2045, episode 5. The team fights a bunch of identical sexy maid androids (I assume at least they are not human, as they all look the same and leak white fluid when shot). They aren't much of a threat, despite having some nice moves, and all are gunned down, as some even jump in the way of shots that target their owner. The combat against the rich dude and some robot dogs then continues while the robots bodies are still lying around, guess that is one advantage of the anime being CGI. Oddly, 6 of the girls are shown standing by, but only 4 show up and get destroyed.
Kinda funny how their internal fluid pretty much looks like... well, jizz. :D

Was that really an anime? It's on 3D?
I have not watched that 3D version of Ghost in the Shell, even though I have watched about all its 2D anime versions. Is it a real production? When it comes to GITS, I don't care about the zakos. I want to know whether their trademark mind-bending cyber stuff is the same. GITS is not GITS without a suitable plot.

As far as I know "anime" means just japanese cartoon, IE when something is written and animated in Japan. We call CGI animated western shows cartoons as well, so to me, this is anime too.
I learned of it after watching Sage's review, it is a rather terrible show.

There is still a plot, but it is really stupid. Get this, some people have evolved to become "posthuman" via getting cyberbrains, and the team is tasked to take them down with the help of (I am not kidding) agent John Smith from the Matrix.

The stupidity of this plot suggests that it is a Western production. When Japanese anime is stupid and incorporates Western characters, usually it is hentai or ecchi.

Making Motoko a white character was annoying enough already. And they then made her visit her Japanese mother. How stupid or politically correct do they think we are?

Oh, they even added a new, black character... except he is a joke, always messes up and has to be saved multiple times.
But no, despite being made for Netflix, it was written and directed in Japan.
There is even an episode where that stupid looking fish king (yes, that in the video thumbnail) is actually just a high school hacker who enacts mob justice by killing people by remote hacking their brains by everyone connected. That seems like a plot of a bad trhiller movie.

OMG, this sounds so stupid, I can't even envision it. I think the Japanese anime guys must be hewing to some stereotype of the lowest common denominator Netflix audience, and dumbing things down for those rednecks.

"Robot Twins" from episode 2 of "Dimension W" anime.

It starts at 15:45

Two sexy blonde androids dressed as cabaret girls acts as bodyguards of a rich dude.

They were easily dispatched by the MC. But the rich dude hastily want to fix them, and all hell breaks loose.

Wow, lovely designs. They even "die" the same way like twins. Though why anime has to always turn even simple scientological things like robots into weird supernatural stuff I will never know... why they suddenly multiplied and turned that guy into a Croenenberg statue.

I think this girl qualifies as Zako, she is basically like Sailor Moon monsters of the day - just in a SM parody cartoon. I don't think she has a name but basically she is a cannabis-monster - love the 5 eyes. It was funny how at the end the girls expect the dead body of the monster girl to disappear and the panda goes "corpse disposal is not included" so they end up chopping her up and putting her through the sink shredder... yikes.

Unnamed zako/midboss from Appare-Ranman!. Her boss has kidnapped one of the protagonist's sweethearts. In the first scene, she receives her orders from her boss, and in the second she tries to kill the protagonists with guns and knives. In the end, she's taken down by several blows to her stomach and finally a kick to the chin to finish her off.

Is she still alive?

I really prefer the idea of heroes leaving Zakos alive and with minimal serious injuries or permanent injuries.

Humiliation of formerly proud or ill intentioned zako is a lot more pleasant than taking someone so underpowered and pummeling the crap out of her just because your 'hero' can.

It's not certain, but pretty sure she's still alive. Also prefer no death or serious injury. A simple KO, TKO, or humiliation is fine, thanks!

I can see from your avatar that you think like me... the avatar had one of my favorite Aika scenes too. I would really like to see Aika bashing Delmo heads together more often, and the wincing and pain expressions that follow!

Funny, I assumed at first the weirdly dressed blue haired girl is the villain, compared to her the brown haired chick looks practically normal.

Yeah that is one of the hottest Aika scenes. I love that KO move.

Silly irony, but coincidentally I got three 'Seriously Likeable' awards from this site on the same day, probably for this content and some others that I posted recently.

The craziest thing is that I'm 'Seriously Likeable' for posting stuff about pretty girls being bashed up?

Oh well, better emphasize, they're Nazis or Nazi-like, they are villains, so it is ok to think this way!
