I found two that are due to the flash version


and one what loads and unloads due to some a conflict with the folder's code.txt removing skin:light; fixes it, for some reason setting the skin type unloads body mods

Found another one

This one does not load in $int$, placing it in $over$ prevents character folder code.txt from loading clothes. also as an ancillary it does not load in charters folders loaded on start up by loadingscreen.swf

Edit pressing rest ever will make it no longer load from character folders
the code used in this is very simple, but it is not a persist adding

glance through its notes, as i know of a bug in many of my mods that will make this mod not work until i fix them

This is defenatly a useful mod buy will not fix any the issues in this thread unless I'm missing something.

I also get his error:

its to help address the charcode part of the issue. (at least in the one i looked at)

care to post your list of init mods? i don't think i have made anything else that replaces the loaddata function but maybe there is something out there

Probably way late to the party, but I've recently found myself the very same issues regarding dantethedarkprince dantethedarkprince 's head that The Hacker Known As Snow The Hacker Known As Snow mentioned, i.e. about not loading from $INIT$ and messing with charcodes from a character's folder. I've tried nonresetcharcode in sby sby 's loaderpack v15 (tried at both my unmodified -used for checking compatibility of dialogues and ATV positions- and slightly customized versions) and it seems to work fine from $OVER$ when it comes to HER part of the charcode (skin, clothes, etc.) but not HIS part (it resets his skin's HSL). As for not loading from $INIT$, I also have a Frankenstein custom pack (from adding stuff to an old loaderpack) where it actually can and does. I'm adding my $INIT$ contents from both the modified v15 and the Frankenstein below:

I mean. . . I made them as add-ons, meant to be loaded individually. Once the playerbase started modifying to original game to start with, we were bound to break a few things XD

True, but the fact that they're being considered (at least I do) as a must-have is a testament to how influential your work has been throughout the years. Heck, I know for sure I've got a copy of your Vanilla Archive from about a decade ago saved somewhere.

Back to bug report: I've just run my modified loaderpack commenting the nonresetcharcode in $INIT$, copying to $RESET$ the charcode from the character folder I used for trying things out, and also the head. Loading the character folder obviously returns to the situation without nonresetcharcode (i.e. clothes not appearing, his skin's HSL going back to default) but resetting loads everything fine. The same happens on my Frankenstein pack (I'm not used to loading from folders: most of my focus up until now has been on trying things for dialogues, which don't really require being in one in order to work).

My guess is that the folder loading process goes as follows: folder's content (mods then charcode), then $OVER$'s content (only the head there in my experiments). Since, as Dante mentioned, the head was meant to be a standalone add-on for HIS body, loading it after the charcode would reset the variables related to it, and strip her off in the absence of nonresetcharcode. That loading order would also explain why there's neither a problem with her clothes nor a change to his skin's HSL when it's a reset: being both the charcode and the head inside $RESET$, the latter loads before the former, thus no overwriting. Custom characters inside the game aren't affected, so they make no use whatsoever of $OVER$.
