Hi everyone,
I'm a beginner trying to translate a Flash game with FFDec and could use some expert advice.
So far, I've managed to add a new font and successfully change the fontId for static interface text, and it displays correctly. and I've hit a roadblock with the dialogue system.
Can anyone please guide me on how to locate and edit the dialogue content? What's the typical workflow for this?

  1. The game's dialogue is loaded from an external Dialogue.txt file. I have successfully translated this file into Chinese and saved it with UTF-8 encoding using Notepad++.
  2. The game runs perfectly without any errors, which may suggests it is correctly reading my translated file.
  3. The Problem: The in-game dialogue UI (which looks like a dialogue editor) continues to display the original English text, not my translation.
  4. My best guess is that the game is reading my file correctly, but it can't display the Chinese characters. The UI for the dialogue box probably uses a built-in font that only has English letters. So, when it tries to draw the Chinese characters, it can't find them in the font file and just gives up, leaving none.
