Reduced client size was not good for us. I'm using game icon from inside of client for website, but lost a lot of icons from this update.

How does the game get the "lost" data now? From binary files? Or downloading from server?

Which icons are missing? This command extracts 36747 valid icon files (and 1 text file) from the latest game client:
UnPAZ.exe pad00000.meta -f ui_texture/icon*

Why is this program replacing all armors? I downloaded a customized Grunil Armor and put it into "Files_to_patch" But My other characters wear different armors to after Installing. And so do other players ingame.

Is there any way for me, to only replace the armor I want to?

I just finished my Maya classes too! I found a better teacher for Maya and learned the basics. I now know what vertex, edges and faces are lol

Working on some models and am going crazy. Maya freezes and crashes whenever I try to export. I also don't understand why Maya has DAE_FBX and not seperate them. I see other people have this issue, but no one has a solution that I have found.

I fixed exporting issue by deleting the Maya documents folder as suggested in an autodesk forum. EDIT: Okay I get it to work, but I was trying to combine Mystic Hair 1 with sorceress hair 11 and it just would not export.

However my edits are not showing correct. I Edited Gloomy fox ears to be smaller and sit lower on the head. I also rotated them forward. Seems only the rotate works. They are still big and positioned in regular place in game. Will try again, not sure what happened.

Update: Here is a picture so you can see what I mean. It looks how I want in Maya, but after getting it into the game the ears are still way to big and high on the head, however they do seem to of rotated.

I think that it is the difference of bones that it is not exported. It is because the ear rotates because it is influenced by the hair bones.

Any idea how I can get it to scale and move down? Also, I deleted the bones in Maya as you showed in video posted. Thanks dear.

UPDATE: Well the crash seems to be with the Mystic 11 hair model. I was trying to re fit it to the Sorceress head, but it just won't export. Bummer. EDIT: okay i got it to export, it just took forever.

Hi, apparently, the currently version of paz browser doesn't show Mystic's Mai Shiranui outfit. I'm not sure it's because the paz browser hasn't been updated after the Mystic's release or simply because Mystic doesn't get to have Mai Shiranui outfit.

I figured it out! After pulling my hair out with failed attempts I resized and moved the ears by editing in vertex mode! I am so happy!

Texts are stored in <game folder>\ads\languagedata_en.loc.

You'll need tools to decrypt/encrypt text files (BDOcrypt - source, compiled) and then you can edit them using text editor such as Notepad++ or using some kind of spreadsheet editor. With spreadsheet editor you'll need to take extra care to export data back to the same text format (tab separated, UTF-8, no BOM).

Decrypted file contains the following tab separated data:

type   ID1   ID2   ID3   ID4   korean_text   localized_text   version   optional:note

You'll need to change only "localized_text" part, everything else should remain the same as in original.

Items have type 0, ID1 is an item ID which can be found for example in Black Desert Database - Ogre Ring item ID 11607 (Ogre Ring - Black Desert Database 1.0), and there are 3 lines describing items - name (ID4 = 0), tooltip text (ID4 = 1), additional info (ID4 = 2, you can ignore this line, it's not displayed anywhere).

I guess I mean, no idea what to do with those files. Being a novice, I have no idea how these files will allow me to decode the loc file. I copied/extracted the files to my ads folder which contains the language loc, but when I run the decryption .exe, it opens then closes quickly.

It is command line utility, you need to run it from command prompt with arguments.

Open command prompt as administrator (CTRL-SHIFT-ESC to run Task Manager, then File - Run new task - type "cmd", tick "create this task with administrative priviledges", click ok.). Commands you'll need to enter:

1) change active folder to BDO ads folder (make sure that you're using correct path, it could be different on your computer, for example steam version is installed in different folder):

c:
cd "c:\Program Files (x86)\Black Desert Online\ads"

2) Decrypt languagedata_en.loc file to readable format:

BDO_decrypt.exe languagedata_en.loc languagedata_en.txt
