Hello

I was looking at downloads and suddently I thought that "I'm surprised that nobody has asked for an hairy pussy mod yet". :grin:
So I tried and I would like it to be a Vanilla Body mod instead of a Bottoms mod to avoid conflict with other mods, and make it RGB adjustable.

The RGB part doesn't seem to be a problem (I use the following code to use the belly piercing RGB slider)
addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, followColorSlider);
function followColorSlider(e:Event)
{
body.chest.rgbFill.transform.colorTransform = belly.rgbFill.transform.colorTransform;
}

My problem is if I try to not overwrite the Body (var overwrite:Boolean = false;) it still erases the chest:

I am confused, because I already did this with hands on my Philia Static Hair & Outfit mod, but this time it doesn't work...

I would be grateful if someone could look at my FLA and tell me what is wrong.

Not really what you were asking ion the thread, but what about XTeam's mods for a "hairy pussy mod"?

Xteam's Imports - Coming back soon...catching up with stuff [09.04.2017]

Or is what you are doing something quite different?

Well I didn't noticed that @Xteam has already did something.
I can't tell if it is similar or not, because there are no example images and I'm lazy to dowload and try everything. :tongue:
The thing is my mod is RGB adjustable, so it can be any colour and match exactly the character's hair.
Also, it should work with any skin tone while Xteam's seem to be limited to light colour.

he is asking, why does my midriff disappear when i tell it not to. as seen in the image. you can have body mods that replace her body, then there are body mods that simply go over her body.

assuming you are testing this with a pretty fresh loader (i just want to make sure moreclothing isn't breaking stuff xD )

That is what I want to do.

Faulty assumption. SyntaxTerror SyntaxTerror doesn't use the Loader.

But yeah, the effect definitely occurs in vanilla SDT and in a few Loader environments where I've tested it.

The code path in CustomElementLoader has a special-case exception for the BACK category (and therefore the back sprite doesn't vanish when overwrite is set to false). Chest and backside do vanish. Tan sprites remain visible (but they're laid on top of "missing" skin so that doesn't really fix anything). I'll check through some old vanilla mods to see whether I made any notes about this behavior.

The simplest answer is probably "publish the pubic hair file as a Loader mod." Even if we identify and fix the original bug, that fix will probably take the form of a Loader mod. A vanilla-only solution may not be possible.

:frown:

So maybe a Costume mod could possibly work, even if it may cause conflicts with other costume mods?

[EDIT] the chest doesn't disappear if I use the Bottoms > Chest layer (obviously). The pubic hair appears over Panties, Bottoms or Legwear mods but this is not really a problem (who would use pubic hairs if it has to be hidden under a skirt or a pantyhose?). It can even be used with other Vanilla Bottoms mods (e.g. my Diamond Stockings) if it is added last.

In fact I think that using this option is the simplest, even if the user will have to be careful of the order he places his mods.
Or maybe I didn't see another possible issue if I use a Costume layer?

A aztlan :
I took some time to download Xteam's stuff, but it seems to be Loader mods, so I cannot use them with Vanilla.
When I try to decompile them, I cannot see the pubic hair (but on bitmap images?).
One thing strange is that there are hundreds of shapes, morphs and sprites in these mods, and they are unusually heavy for such a small mod: 71 to 87 ko while mine is 8 ko.

Could you show me a screenshot of one of these (or all different shapes if possible)?

[EDIT] here's my mod:

It's a common mistake. The Loader template assigns linkage names to all of its body symbols so that they can be easily included in the mod via AS3 scripting. Anything with a linkage name gets packed into the SWF output file by default. So the pubic hair mods include sprites for thighs, elbows, etc... even though such things are totally irrelevant.

Good point! I was so worried about fixing the tops>chest loading path that I forgot about this simple alternative.

And after checking ... yep, that's exactly how I handled it in the past. I haven't fixed the problem of tops>backside causing skin sprites to disappear, because I simply used bottoms>backside instead.

As we are taking about this issue, are the Body > Chest & Backside the only layers that disappear even if they should not be overwritten, or does this also happens with other layers?
