The kunoichis in Tenchu Wrath of Heaven, Fatal Shadows and Z are divine. They haven't been discussed in a while.

WOuld have been better without pubic hair, it's unattractive and just makes it harder to see the shape of the pussy. But other then that, nice pics.Always loved these games, and the cute but sexy kunoichi with their saucy little walk cycle. Here's a little homage. WARNING - she's going commando!
That's subjective. I reckon it's fine just how it is. Pubic hair can still look good depending on how messy it is,and in this case I think it's alright.WOuld have been better without pubic hair, it's unattractive and just makes it harder to see the shape of the pussy. Ah yes, another fellow enjoyer of Tenchu Kunoichi Zako.I’m curious where people land on the two main kunoichi enemy (Woh,Fs vs Z) lines.
I’m an Ogawara enjoyer — basically perfection personified. I know most people prefer the WoH/FS Kuroya (red eyes, more pronounced feminine shape). I want to hear why.
Ogawara – Tenchu Z: severe face sculpt (long, narrow, dagger brows), plain bun + kanzashi, disciplined idle; feels ascetic and “professional.”
Kuroya – Wrath of Heaven / Fatal Shadows: softer facial maps with stylized shadow/liner, red-eyes, more overtly feminine silhouette and posture.
Why I lean Ogawara:
– That carved, hawk-like face + matte look hits the “beautiful but dangerous” balance for me. Austere face + unmistakably feminine movement. Tall, thin, long-legged, bony-faced; small but firm chest, flat but shaped butt. Near-perfect overall. Voice is sexy.
Her idle animations are straight-up womanly. The face is severe and changes wildly by angle/lighting — sometimes almost inhuman head-on, then hawk-beautiful in 3/4. That “toeing the line between beauty and ‘ugliness’ vibe is the whole point.
Tesshu’s on Tenrai kunoichis are extremely brutal. If you see them as more feminine, it’s even more messed up.
Ogawara get it just as bad: dragged helpless, necks snapped, ribs and belly work, necks cut like a chicken—one of the nastiest is the shoulder-ride: land on her shoulders, lock/dislocate with your legs, shove the neck sideways, drive steel in along the neck, blade exits low, twist, yank, double-kick her down. Fatal Shadows is slightly “lighter” but still brutal: lots of neck breaks, liver/stomach stabs, and throat slashes.
What I want from you lot
1) Which model reads “lethal elegance” better to you, and why? Which game has the sexiest kunoichi to you?
2) Do the animation sets sell “feminine killer” for Ogawara or is Kuroya stronger on that front?
3) Favorite finishers (set-up, body mechanics, camera timing, sound).
4) Does the extra femininity on Kuroya make Tesshu’s stuff feel excessive, or is that contrast the point?
5) Any historical vibes either design nails or totally misses?
6) The one SFX moment that sells impact (gasp, air cut, scabbard ring). Which game mixes it best?
7) Favorite encounter spaces that frame them well (narrow galleries, shoji lines, rooftop runs). Level + reason.
8) What would you keep/change in a remake to push “lethal elegance” without turning kawaii?
9) Ogawara reads “scarier = hotter.” Agree/argue.
10)Cleanest finisher?
11)Which matters more to you? Face design, body design, camera framing, encounter design?

Wonderful stuff. You do have a point about "toeing the line between beauty and ‘ugliness’ vibe" I do like that about them.I wanted to share some AI (Sora) generated kunoichis.View attachment 170841View attachment 170842View attachment 170844View attachment 170843View attachment 170846View attachment 170847View attachment 170848View attachment 170849View attachment 170850View attachment 170851View attachment 170852View attachment 170853View attachment 170854View attachment 170855View attachment 170856View attachment 170857View attachment 170845
so i found a trailer (the very first i believe) for Fatal Shadows/Kurenai.
interestingly the footage shows kunoichi enemies almost exclusively AND they're all in their red kimonos.

It’s worth pointing out how much of this lines up with the onna zako archetype in Japanese media. I'm not entirely sure they're meant to be just ‘sexy placeholders’ , the devs clearly knew what they were doing. The gasps, moans, and strained expressions during stealth kills lean on erotic discomfort, a very Japanese pulp trope where sensuality and violence overlap without being outright pornographic, which they reeeaaaally doubled down on in the infamous second trailer with the "wet" sounding stealth kills. I'll leave a link if you're unsure which one I meant.Super interesting. I wonder if at early stages of development, they wanted to have it be a kunoichi filled clan, focusing on maybe a female heavy cast. Or maybe just sexy place holders until they added more story and enemies.
