Hey, guys! Firstly, my apologies if this might've been discussed already.

Anyway, maybe my memory is a little fuzzy, but was there ever a theme song (for lack of a better word) that played in the main menu of SDT vanilla? I could've sworn that this was an actual feature despite this not occurring in my current downloaded versions (both loader and vanilla) until I figured that this might've been exclusive to the version on Comdotgame. Although, when I checked out the game there, it didn't play either.

So, am I misremembering?

In the game files; the original intro sound effect has been replaced with a silent .mp3 that is one hundredth (0.01) of a second long. The file is literally 1kB.

My guess is ModGuy did this to SDT to silence the intro sound effect.

Huh. Where would I find the original intro. sound effect?

By using a decompiler on the original game to get the file. You can get the original SDT from Kona's original post, or from comdotgame with f12 and just ctrl+f search for ".swf". Then decompile it and rake through it's audio files until you find "intro".
