It’s worth pointing out how much of this lines up with the onna zako archetype in Japanese media. I'm not entirely sure they're meant to be just ‘sexy placeholders’ , the devs clearly knew what they were doing. The gasps, moans, and strained expressions during stealth kills lean on erotic discomfort, a very Japanese pulp trope where sensuality and violence overlap without being outright pornographic, which they reeeaaaally doubled down on in the infamous second trailer with the "wet" sounding stealth kills. I'll leave a link if you're unsure which one I meant.
