I run #ai-bot-channel in the SDT discord, using SCL's LoRA -- sdthair, which helps generate new content for SDT. The problem is modifying the outputs to be compatible with the game. The easiest: static hairs, still require sizing, shaping and erasing each bit of the outline. All of this, the result may not match the style of the game or produce mediocre results (compared to OG vector artists using shape and line tools that transfer very well into the game). Examples: [1], [2], [3] [4]
For clothing and body mods, these issues carry over, but also fitting the assets onto the existing Her body require some precision, since the motion of the game, how each part fits and moves together is precise and almost entirely dependent on certain qualities of the assets (such as clean, coherent color, "stitch-lines" for the torso-back joint). Despite these challenges, it is entirely possible to replace each part of her, using SDXL based Stable Diffusion checkpoints + Any SDXL character LoRA model and then manually cutting out each body part and placing it, articulating the jaw, the eyes, breast slider, etc. on your choice of mod template.
The capability of SDTHair does not stop at the originally intended function for creating SDT style assets, but extends to more realistic, "detailed" styles using some of the top Illustrious checkpoints + character models. I think the work involved to replace Her, Him with a "3d art, realistic" style version, along with trying to recreate the thousands of existing mods in the original SDT style makes it entirely prohibitive given the current popularity. Simply, it's not worth the effort for a full overhaul, until larger portions can be reliably automated with new (perhaps AI) tools.
