dynamic hair swf imports: Kimiko Ross/OC (1 Viewer)

Finally figured out how to get dynamic hair to work, so here´s my first attempt.
It´s certainly not perfect and nowhere near as good as Kona´s stuff, there are still some issues with the layering that need to be solved.

With the newest version of ModGuy´s awesome loader you can now get the complete Kimiko Ross experience:

Download her arm and eye right away, this will only work for a limited time because this arm import will be useless when Konashion releases animated arms.

Had a picture of this girl in my tattoo thread and recieved a request for the hair import via PM, so here it is. This import was put together out of different parts from other imports I found in the archive and vectorized, so thanks to the original artists.

nice work now people will want more done. i wish i had skill to repents on this so i could make more but my drawing and programing skills suck

I will certainly do more, there are several mods Hair imports I really want to get animated as soon as my time allows.

Dunno, I never encountered the problem that hair wasn´t replaced.
There´s an overwrite option in the actionscript, but I didn´t change kona´s default settings there.

I used the CS5 version of ExampleMod.fla

It seems like items that items that are not from a preset girl, do not unload. Tested with ExampleMod, Rufferto's import and my own eyewear and colar imports. Overwrite Boolean set to true everywhere where possible for collars and eyewear imports. ExampleMod script untouched.

- An SWF hair import does NOT seem to unload an already loaded SWF hair import.
- A PNG hair import does NOT seem to unload an already loaded SWF hair import.
- An SWF hair import does seem to unload a PNG hair import.
- An SWF hair import does seem to unload a preset hair.

- An eyewear SWF import does NOT seem to unload an already loaded eyewear SWF import.
- An eyewear SWF import does seem to unload a preset eyewear.

- A collar SWF import does NOT seem to unload an already loaded collar SWF import.
- A collar SWF import does seem unload a preset collar.


Can anyone confirm this?

A SWF hair import does overwrite another SWF hair import, but only in the layers you specify to overwrite.

Everything else above seems true, but not in all cases. There are bugs when you keep importing subsequent SWF hair.

I don't think we should worry about this as they are obviously bugs and this is only a test.

The mod itself does work, just not entirely when it comes to loading them. It should load fine if you start with preset hair with no PNG import.

Also, I can add a PNG import for hair_between and then do a SWF import for the other layers, hair_over and hair_back. So as long as they don't overlap each other, you can combine both PNG import and SWF import.

Grimey, I see what you mean, I haven´t tried it before since I was just testing my own import, but I´m getting the same bugs.

Good work on the mod, it looks good. Glad to see people making dynamic hairs, I think there is a big difference between static hair and dynamic hair. Hopefully more people will start making dynamic hairs when Konashion addresses some of the bugs.

Correct, I encountered these unlaoding bugs along with Voltlight and decided to delve a bit deeper into them. The point of a test phase is finding and reporting bugs after all, no?

Update fucked up my post for good, replacing attachments was not that good of an idea I guess. :P
How can I fix this?

Here´s a revised version of Kimiko Ross, I added more dynamic hair parts and fixed the layering problem among other things.
This import uses the hair costume layer so tinting her hair won´t do any good.

im trying to make a dynamic hair import but im stuck after making the different sections for the dynamic hair. what does the tutorial mean in kona's mod file when it says "position the sections where you want them to go and set the target element in the AcionScript on the Settings layer."

edit: i think i get it now ill edit again if i get stuck
