Is there a way to make a position compatible with older versions of Animtools?

I've stopped updating Animtools cause an update changed something with adjusting knees and since I have AnySizeHer the 2 mods seem to conflict when auto mode is enabled. I tried changing settings in Animtools but the issue persisted, so now I'm stuck using v25. A new problem rose when I started trying to download new positions and most, if not all, were made for newer versions of Animtools. So to elaborate on my question. Is there a method or procedure to make newer positions compatible with older versions of Animtools? Like, deleting certain lines or editing certain values to where v25 won't give errors or cause other issues when the position is loaded? I know there were several features added since v25 so I would assume deleting the lines associated with the new features should make it compatible.

I just downloaded the stuck in wall foreground and it came with a position made for it. Checked the version and it showed v39. I'm not gonna attempt to load that cause I know it'll throw several errors at me and won't load properly. That's the main reason I made this post, it'll also help with a few positions I downloaded before as well as any positions I get in the future.

Thanks in advance for any help or tips.

1) Do you have a working animtoolsposition from v25? I could compare to one from more recent and give you each line that is different, but could still be some further incompatibility. Such as updates to how certain settings values are handled.

2) There is a line in animtools settings, starting in v28.

enablelegmountbodyscaling=1 ;1=active, postions made in v28 and later will have her body scale saved for reference and animtools will attempt to shift her knee mouting point when you use a different bodysize

Have you tried toggling this off to see how it interacts with AnySizeHer?

Sorry for taking so long, didn't get notified by email.

If I'm remembering right I did find that option and toggled it, but auto mode still messed up.

enablelegmountbodyscaling=0 ;1=active, postions made in v28 and later will have her body scale saved for reference and animtools will attempt to shift her knee mouting point when you use a different bodysize
Found it in v28. I had it disabled but auto mode was still messing up. The line is still in v37. I disabled that one too but still won't work right. There may be more to it than just that cause even with my stable v25 certain body scales and penis lengths mess up in the same way, but only when she's held. It does like a quick in and out with vigor shooting through the roof, almost like it's getting stuck and trying to back up to try again. I'll try recording what's happening and upload it to my google drive.

As for a position from v25, I might have one but most that I made myself are simple edits from older versions. I'll check what I can find and upload it here.

Edit:
Didn't take long to find one. Seems it's from a dialogue made by Edgelord, Guessing Game.

Here's a comprehensive list of a new v40 settings compared to your example. I've highlighted settings that affect position or sizing. From the looks of it, some possibility but nothing obvious. I suspect the issue is that the auto mode alignment is inconsistent, and positions that work for certain character sizes or penis sizes don't work for others; this isn't necessarily a bug. You will have to edit or create your own settings that work for a range of character sizes. Unless I misunderstand the problem.
I make liberal use of the Bend Knees Keybindings that are included in AnySizeHer and making sure to save a new set of settings when I get the right positioning. The idea being for every general pose, you have a specialized settings file that accommodates the unique combination of sizes. The Animtools in game editor offers great flexibility and power as a prototyping tool. When facing difficulty, I try to restrict movement to be very precise along the entire motion, so that auto mode can't really fail and basically only leaves a small amount of room between her and the penis (the minimal required to get it in upon restarting). Setting "offpathposmovement" low or default.

usesteadypenis - steadypenis could affect auto mode, if it is lined up would make automode more consistent. if not, would make it much worse.

Thank you for the comprehensive list. Mainly I'm wanting to make newer positions compatible with v25. So I assume deleting the highlighted lines and changing the version number would do the trick?

I have a lot of AnySizeHer keybindings on my numpad so if I use positions other than default I turn off AutoBendKnees with dialogue, change positions then adjust their knees as needed. Almost any custom position messes up if AutoBendKnees is still on, I mean as far as lining up the characters.

But yeah, I assume it's when either she's too small or the penis is too small auto mode will mess up while she's being held. When I tested the new Animtools it was messing up even when she was not held. I still haven't recorded a video to show what happens in the current version, but I know a particular pair of my characters where it happens. Seems regardless of her size it's his penis that makes it mess up.
This works: hisPenis:1,1.175,1.175;balls:1,0.975;
This don't: hisPenis:1,1.125,1.225;balls:1,1.175;
I mostly use this for her scale: bodyScale:0.8983;herHeadScale:0.9073;

I added an option to disable the patch that was introduced in V26, see if this works.

in your settings file, you will need to add the line
automodedisableadjustaim=0
