I have some respect to the shadows. Do you know any "manga draw tut" for fix them properly?

I'm working in some hairs, but them are without shadows.

I want to learn where put the shadows.

You know good tutorials for learn it?.

Just look at some images, see what other artists do. Shadows tend to be opposite to the light source, of course, although there is no obvious light source in SDT.. I tend to do the edges of the hair facing the guy, in general, and anywhere I imagine the hair to be covering sections of her head. Generally I'm following quite a few references for my work, so I can always just average them out, see which shadows are dominant on that character.

Great guide Voltlight! Despite it being for GIMP I was still able to use all the skills fairly easily in Photoshop, and anything I couldn't find a quick Google search provided. :D
