Chapter 5 Part 8: Epilogue
1 month after Jai and Alexa's rescue
Brian and Jai waited for NLEX to be repaired. After contacting the team in Baguio City, their other friends were able to ride a public bus and sneak their way pass Cecil's agents without anyone getting harmed. They all agreed to stay in hiding for now.
The agents in Baguio City returned back to their normal lives. But they all remained in close contact with Brian, Alexa and Jai. They continued to train in martial arts and firearms, ready to be called to action anytime.
When Alexa went back to her home, she told her parents everything. Her father and mother was shocked and stunned with what Alexa had gotten herself into. But they knew they had to protect their daughter as well as themselves. Using their powerful connections they were able to convince the top politicians in the country to completely erase Alexa, Brian and Jai's former identities as well as their own and give themselves new lives and become virtually untraceable.
Brian and Jai because closer and closer to each other. Eventually they developed a mutual understanding with each other. However, both of them remained close with Alexa. In fact twice a week, they all gather at Alexa's residence to play video games, visit restaurants and enjoy their friendship. They were all in fact, just 18 years old after all. But they also made sure to stay sharp. During their visits they make it a habit to practice martial arts and shooting just to make sure they won't forget their skills.
Cecil was furious with the death of Edward, Emma and Mylene and has demanded her team to find Alexa, Brian and Jai. But no matter how hard her intelligence agents work, they simply could not find Brian, Jai and Alexa. Cecil finally decided that this was a waste of time and she decided to allocate her resources to pursuing other rival agents. Though she did make sure than the explosives killed the rest of Paula's family and destroyed their home right as soon as they returned from their trip and discovered Paula's dead body
Brian was still filled with immense rage over the death of Cassie. He still has not gotten over it. One day, he promised himself, he will take down Cecil's organization, whether Jai and Alexa will help him or not. Jai and Alexa continue to persuade Brian to forget his vendetta but even they don't know if they can convince Brian to do so....
