Hello
D
Dvalin
. Welcome to the Undertow forum.
So I remember seeing a video a while back and in the uploader's SDT he was using not only a penis replacer mod (Horse cock) but he was also using the X-Ray mod.
Simple answer:
that's not SDT. It's an entirely different game or (more likely) a semi-interactive animated movie. Some of the anatomy and animation details resemble SDT, but that's probably just a coincidence (because of the similar camera angle) or a time-saving shortcut. The video exhibits some FFD mesh animation, which Flash isn't very good at handling (and which SDT doesn't use).
The owner of this character has commissioned a few animations (
example) from various talented artists. You can try to
contact that person if you have any questions, but please remember to be polite. The animation/game/video may have been privately commissioned, and the owner might
not be willing to share a copy of it with you.
I tried this myself but it didn't work correctly, showing the horse cock out of the throat but when the x-ray activates it's a normal cock.
Yes, that's normal. The penis-in-throat artwork was drawn from scratch. It does
not use clever graphical techniques to "bend" the normal penis, but instead relies on
new sprites drawn by
@dantethedarkprince. Of course, Dante's artwork depicts a curved version of the standard human penis. It's also important to note that the penis-in-throat artwork always uses the "light" skin tone and can't accommodate the full range of penis sizes.
You can ask for
revisions, but please remember that this kind of mod involves a combination of art and coding. You should probably begin by contacting the original artist/modder (i.e. whichever name appears on your preferred horse-penis mod). If they're willing to get involved then we could copy the relevant bits from Dante's FLA files and begin assembling a first draft. Without support (or at least
permission) from the original artist, this idea probably won't go anywhere.
The implementation of the X-Ray feature in SDT is awkward. That's because it's a late addition rather than a core feature. A
successor project would presumably avoid this difficulty by implementing the automatic graphical bending idea mentioned above. But there are still fundamental limitations (e.g.
"what happens if the penis is wider than the girl's neck?"), graphics hurdles (involving layering, masking, and blending), some input ambiguity, and many physics challenges (involving rigidity, suction, guidance, self-crossing, fluid dynamics, adhesion, swallowing, etc). A game scene simulated in realtime will usually appear
worse than a hand-crafted animation. The question is whether interactivity (and/or immersion) can compensate for the loss of quality.
