Still haven't discovered everything I believe. The game is pretty damn nice, and the frequent updates keep up the interest. The buildup and work needed are exciting and rewarding.

Yeah I'd have to agree. I check back every few weeks or so, grab the latest version, then play through it again, and see what changes and find new junk to do. Even given the nature of the game, I have a lot of fun with the combat as well.

AGTH is a mess and doesn't work well for me. It gets stuck on "choose your month of birth" in the translate field(google). The machine translation works but the dialogues will be crappy. I recommend this translation instead: http://roguetranslations.wordpress.com/2011/12/10/vh-misc-and-serena-patch/ Read the info and use it as a you would use the translation file during the first option described here.

I also have a question. When you make a default character, without choosing stats, she gets 930 hp and 900+ attack and defense and when you make your own choices, she gets much worse stats. How come it's like that?

Well sorry AGTH doesn't work so well for you. That translation patch I'm fully aware of, but it is just old. I suppose you could use it to get a translation of most of onsen town and the capital city, but there has been so much stuff added since then, you'd need a AGTH or something else translating everything else. Also the stats thing, sounds to me like you are picking debug mode. It asks you a question something like, "do you want to start with increased stats and money?" But im not positive, I haven't selected debug mode in months, and I've always done the manual stat generation questionaire thing, since its been added.

Yes she'll carry it around untill she gives birth. You can take birth control pills every morning so long as you have enough in your inventory. You can get it aborted assuming it's not too far along in the capital city. Dirtiness is combined with purity in your diary. Once purity hits zero it turns to dirtiness. It's in the bottom right of the first diary page, the 3rd stat down. It will be easier to see if you use these (translated diary and guild ranking) VH Translated diary + Ranks.zip Its outdated a bit, but it will still translate most of the diary. (Once purity turns to dirtiness it will just have moon runes instead of the word "purity" down there)

Just have to merge the panorama and picture folders with the ones inside the VH folder. Replacing when prompted. Unless for some reason the filenames are different and they arent replacing the old ones, it should work.

Could someone help me out? I'm at the quest with the thieves' hideout, and I'm inside this cave. The only walkthrough I could find said that I should check all rooms and activate all those sparkles... Did it, but I still can't leave. There also seems to be a room that is blocked... Can anyone help?

I'm at a loss here. I can get the game to work, so I have the Jap Locale right and all, I just can't get ANY translation patches to patch. They just don't do anything. I've got 64-bit, Windows-7. I used rpgmaker_trans_v1.98, clicked on game location is RPG_RT.exe, and patch location is RPGMKTRANSPATCH" and it seems to "patch" things, but I load up RPG_RT.exe and nothing happens. It's still all in Japanese.

Is the version of rpgmaker trans too new? Is it buggy? (I've tried finding older ones but cannot.) Or am I missing something more obvious?

Scroll all the way down to the bottom to RPG_RT.exe it has a purple icon of a sword.

you need the Japanese RPG maker installed, RPGƒcƒNÂ[ƒ‹2000 RTP / ƒtƒ@ƒ~’Ê.com–³—¿ƒQÂ[ƒ€ (click the blue text in that link to download) running this once it's download will extract the installer to the specified location, so make sure you check where your extracting it to, run the installer after extraction and you should then be able to run the game.

Sounds like you're trying to run from the main folder, i.e. ...\VH\RT.exe
Should be another folder in the same root, ...\VH_translated\RT.exe <- run this instead, then see what happens

I still use 1.95a because it works. The 1.97 version was bugged, dunno about 1.98.

Oh. And on a side note: The Windows XP version I'm running is a pirated version, ran in a guest machine using VirtualBox (My Host is Ubuntu 10.04.)

I don't have the japanese unicode, so I can't set my system locale, but I DO have AppLocal, and it works. I just can't change my entire system, because there's nowhere to find that fucking East Asian Language Pack.

I'm confused, are you looking for help with AGTH and TA, or the translation machine? It sounds like the game works, but you just can't get it translated. Is that right? I'm going to have to say trying to use Neon's translation method had just turned out as a total crapfest for me as of late. Personally I'm back to AGTH 100%. And you also said you are trying to play an older version of VH? Or did I misread that. Sorry I've really no idea what you are asking for help with. Just need you to be slightly more specific with what you are looking for and where your issue is and/or what you DO have working. Willing to help here but I need to know a few more specifics, sorry for any late replies, long work days lately.

(Also on a side note. Pirated XP on a virtual machine, in linux? I mean really? Thats a lot of work for some porn man.)
