I know for a fact the first link is Atelier Resleriana (the one that's still a gacha.) The link below that one and the imgur below that is either Tales of the Rays or Tales of Crestoria (both shut down now iirc.) I don't know what the last game is. I'm thinking that maybe it's that mobile Castlevania game I heard about awhile ago? What name these games?
First one is Atelier Resleriana which sadly closed internationals servers a while ago, second and third are Tales of Rays which closed a couple of years ago and last is Castlevania Grimoire of Souls which is playable but only in Apple Arcade. What name these games?
Well I am playing NTE so far. I might need to keep an eye for Stun animation and KO animation if I messed up fighting. They don’t even have a real KO animation, either, do they?
I may record some hit stun some time.
For now, focusing on Abyssdia.
Do you remember where those are?The ones I'm thinking of are on a private upload that was shared with me, however there's definitely one or two channels that have featured the stuns just as part of general 'taking hits' montages.
Yeh, there's a lot of different stuff to offer. It's a great thing you're covering all for your audience. In vids covering one type of animation it's pretty common to see users asking if it would be possible to add a different one. Kinda like, if the vid has KOs, people might request sleep or holds or stuff. My edits for my supporters were a combination of hitstun (since there's lots of cute sounds), dizzy, and KO (which is like a prolonged state, I wish it had full KOs afterward)
It's just a matter of preference really. Things that might not be appealing for someone may be so for someone else, especially considering how abstract sexual preferences can be in general. I wouldn't say it's "objectively" worse or there's a factual reason why I like it less, it simply doesn't look as good for me? I guess I could say that without the holding they look a bit more helpless or out of it, lol? The pained expression is a more straightforward issue for me since instead of dizzy they look they are in pain, which isn't really my stuff. That and the mix of a pained expression and head holding actually makes it look they are facepalming, lol.I actually like the holding the head animations! But when it's everyone doing doing it is less exciting. Luckily they have varied vocal sounds like they make across Japanese and English which makes up for it for me.
Ooooh, I figured you were into the athletic, cool and strong girls. Chien being an example, but I remember how much you liked Yina from Blank City.Oh no, I don't have "a type" haha. It varies from place to place. There are definitely TRENDS which can say which heroines I may be more naturally attracted to over others. For example, in Zenless Zone Zero, it is Anby by far. In Genshin, it is Xinyan and I think Qingling was her name. In Kings Raid it was Yanne and Veronica. In Abyssdia it's Chien and Linette. In Granblue, it's Djeeta and Ferry. And so on, so on..There's no really consistency of who becomes my top favs either to play as OR for ryona, and often there is actually a difference. For instance in Granblue I don't really like to play as Ferry but I find her one of the top two cutest. Normally I dislike the busty 'sultry' type but as I mentioned above, Nina and Rosetta I actually also find very attractive.
It's kind of random in a way haha..^_^;;
Ah, I wasn't complaining, my mistake, I was mostly making the observation . I also figured a lot of people really wouldn't feel comfortable just openly talking about a something weird like this is, which is understandable. On the other hand, it's pretty common to have your own comments go unrespondend with popular channels, I mean it reaches a point where the content creator just can't keep up with everyone and instead simply makes another vid, a community post or a sticky comment responding on the general stuff that their fans were telling them.I did notice that, many seem to only lurk but
who has written like two million words of fanfiction over the years, I am unfortunately used to people lurking and not responding -- and to be fair, that IS how I often approach YTers I like, but that's because they are TOO popular so my comment feels like white noise. With ryona content, and even fan art, I have been making efforts to leave comments of support on the stuff I like a lot, especially when there are few comments.
That would be incredible. So glad Abyssdia wasn't lost when the NFT fiasco didn't work out. If I could give a small adivce, some cutscenes use the in-battle dizzy animations for comedic or other situations. Thing is, you get a clear look of the girl and the stars effect is perfectly lined with the character's model, so it might be keeping an eye on.I sent Mongaya a DM and I think also asked on their channel about how they are triggering the dizziness, so maybe I can get an answer and can help add to the content.
Girls Frontline seems to be the big game of those. It does seem to get the most attention on social media at least. Snowbreak started out as a more straightforward post-apocalyptic sci-fi shooter that featured cute girls, but the game wasn't selling well so they instead doubled down hard on fanservice, harem and power fantasy romance and the game started to do much better. But that also reflected on the story, from what I get, things essentially made the player avatar the center of the universe, all the girl's arcs were essentially tied to winning over the MC and male characters were removed from the game. While I don't think that's inherently bad, it is a completely different niche and audience it aims at.I know a group who seems big into Frontline but it's not my thing. The others I don't know of.
Ah, makes sense. It would have been weird to have a waifu game without a player avatar. (Still would have preferred if it was just the girls, though =P)I think Abyssdia technically has a faceless 'player' because the girls can 'go on dates' with you, or something?? I don't care about that. But your player character is practically invisible and doesn't exist in other story scenes I have seen. Which I personally prefer in this kind of game.
I guess it's hard to move from a formula that's shown to sell well in such a saturated market where games are dying all the time. It's understandable, but it's still a bit tiring to see "Genshin-esque" games, characters, designs, game systems and all that all the time. Either that or the more sci-fi edgy ones seen in games like Punishing Gray Raven. Now I've seen that some games are emulating ZZZ, including the "bouncy" and overly expressive motions. It's true, it's part of why I was excited for ZZZ and even NTE in a way, because we get MODERN looking characters in this kind of art style, it makes it at least feel a bit different. The gameplay of NTE is definitely more interesting than ZZZ but overall I like the characters of ZZZ more, though that's because Anby exists haha. At least in NTE I actually like the player protag a lot, maybe even the most of everyone so far.
Maybe? It has been a loooooooooooong time, lol.Oh I was here on this site even before that, wasn't I? I'm pretty sure I was posting things as Ryo even a bit before that also, though maybe not much longer.
Speaking of, I found out what happened with the 2 vids I posted before. Imgur is blocked in some parts of Europe, namely the UK. So if you're in those parts the vids are unavailable. I can try putting them somewhere else so you can see them.Yes, I was in America before.
Niconico went mad I tell you.No idea but if I could at least PLAY my OWN VIDEOS from there, I could use a screen capture to record them..
I am not really sure, I've hear Nord and SurfShark are pretty good, but they have a cost. That said, I would not use a free VPN since those are likely scams or outright dangerous.Ummm like what one? I can't use the popular stuff because it costs money. I mean, I guess if it could let me access Nico Nico it might even be worth getting a single month at some point..
It's understandable. Good to know you've been active in one way or another, one would be worried something may have happened.Oh yes, I have mostly been focusing my little energies on ryona content for my supporters and on FightStar. I keep forgetting to post new content for DA even though I actually have probably a lot 'saved up' to share there.. mostly edits of course but there's still some commission stuff that has been private for months or even a couple years or more which hasn't been shared there yet as I have kept it for the supporters.
I think I tumbled on it by accident, if you had recommended it to me I would remember it.Oh I probably specifically recommended it to you! Yes, it's a magical girl webcomic called Dame Daffodil, I have commissioned A LOT of drawings of those two for my DA, from the very artist who makes the comic, since she seems fine with it as long as it's not overtly sexual, which isn't even what I want o see anyhow, so it works. And then yes, I redesigned them for this visual novel as magical wrestlers. Nemona (Pokemon) and Charlotte (Castlevania) are also made and playable, while their partners Cassiopeia and Karlach have base images but not been fully worked into the game yet. There are other heroines planned and even one in partcular in the process of being drawn right now who is maybe all too predictable from me huehue..
Ooh, interesting. Makes a lot of sense given the style of the art. I think I've seen visual novel with RPG Battle minigames a couple of times, so it can be pulled off well.It is a visual novel engine game, with scenes of dialogue that have occasional choices which can affect how a battle begins. And then the main gameplay is just actual turn-based RPG combat, with HP and MP and everything. The mechanics are still being ironed out. For instance, 'Super Moves' that build from a meter over time based on actions each turn, or tag-team moves which use up both heroine's turns, are things I want to implement at some point.
That also works. Many games, indies and visual novels don't use animations, rather overlap several images with small variations, alongside special effects to convey the animations. It can be well done and looks great, much better than lackluster animations. At the moment the animation is simplistic but I've done a lot of effort to edit effects, use voice clips, and especially focus on changing facial expressions. For example, as a heroine shifts from normal status to 'Drowsy', then 'Sleepy', 'Asleep' and even 'Deep Sleep'. Plus, the last two have a dedicated character-specific drawing showing their pose. The same is the case for Dizzy/Dazed, also! It's got a lot of detail to it, on top of characters having many different lines for all kinds of stuff, whether attacking, taking damage, supporting each other, struggling with specific ailments etc.
Really, who? To be fair, I don't really know any artists per se in the community >_>;There has also been talks with a pretty famous ryona artist who is interested in collaborating for a scenario in the game! If we can ever..hear BACK FROM HIM again..then maybe that can finally proceed as discussed! ;D
Ah, I think I get you. The individual traits of the character and more personalized answers to the events? Yeah. It's great you can do something that neatly fits the things you like the most. For me, these ryona things are most appealing when it's more than just a "hot girl" having a bad time. The individual details of the character herself and how she responds to such things helps the entire scenario become more attractive, especially when it's more than one gal involved. So this project has been perfect motivation for me, hehehe
That only means you genuinely grew passionate of the whole story and your own work. That's pretty great. Not to mention, there's so damn much material in Pokémon to write a cool story, it's enticing to try to do so.in the last two years and change has actually been a VERY deep and involved, self-serious and earnest Pokemon Scarlet/Violet sequel story, which ironically enough was birthed by starting off writing a goofy shits-and-giggles story about Penny crushing hard on Nemona and using Pokemon on her as pranks as a means of trying to processand deal with that crush. And here I am over two years later writing about the gang needing to cope with governmental conspiracy type shit, death, loss, dismemberment, the complexities and strains of long-term emotional manipulation, and all kindsa genuinely developed character-building shit lol
They were disappointing, ngl. I found many times bored when playing the games. Still, you could tell they tried to do new things and some good ideas were there, like... the last episode in Area Zero was legitimately pretty good. But I am genuinely convinced that they rushed the game badly hence the trillion bugs at release and the bare bones everything. Not surprising, given at this point Pokémon is not the game series, the games are advertising for the merchandise. The funny part is I think Pokemon SV is one of the top two or three most piece of shit Nintendo games I have ever played, BAHAHA
But I do love the characters very very much.
Nemona is pretty awesome, lol. Like I said, it shows how passionate you grew for your project. And it all started with Nemona's appearance in FightStar, something which was just for fun because I thought she was cute and loved to fight! Now she is one of my top all-time favorite characters ever.
To be fair, characters in crossovers tend to be more flat they originally were in their source material, given you don't have the time to go through their characters arcs and all that with everyone. So you take their most recognizable traits to make them stand out.Although in FightStaras a bit of a silly goof, more one-dimensional than I now realize she actually is, hah... >_>; But I think it still works for the AU goofs-and-peril shenanigans that is the FightStar world.
Ah... yeah... a long ago you hinted at it on a conversation we had, but I didn't have the courage to answer back then. Terribly sorry to hear that. I wouldn't call it awkward, everyone's relationship with sex is pretty personal and "abstract" so you're not weird or anything. If anything, the fact you kept figuring yourself out and moving on is very admirable. Thanks! I was, so on top of that, as well as the course my life, my relationship with sex is..let's say awkward haha..sexually abused as a child, on top of beaten and neglected in my yonger years
But exploring this kink has helped me meet a number of people, and reinforced my ability to be detail oriented, something which is useful in many parts of life.
I see your point. I am on a similar boat. Fanservice games and waifubaiting aren't my thing. That said, I don't think they are wrong in themselves or anything. I mean, I see them like a porn flick or a hentai work? They are pretty straightforward that the appeal is cute waifus (sometimes hot husbandos) and fanservice, so it's more of a matter that it's not my thing. I have more issues when the work is trying to come as serious or be about different topic, yet still heavily indulges in fanservice, and especially if the fanservice in these cases affects the writting (like making all the female characters be waifus for the MC, constantly make boob or body jokes, the MC having a harem and sacrificing any interesting relationship they might have because it might be cheating on the MC, etc.). That said I am NOT against fanservice or sexy designs, I think making your characters good looking is perfectly fine, just don't throw everything away for the sake of that if your work isn't dedicated to be fanservice. And this goes both ways, I mean attractive girls are more obvious, but look at Resident Evil Requiem. One of the most celebrated aspects is how much of a hot daddy Leon is and people love it.For me, fanservice is usually not a problem when it is SEPARATE from the 'core material', especially when it is a FAN..SERVING..the content. Wen the main material itself is just..so so much waifu slop fanservice, I just can't enjoy it. It's why I loved Xenoblade Chronicles 1 DE, could not STAND XBC2 and stopped 8 hours through, but then fell back in love with XBC3. Two of them are more general JRPGs, one of them is mainstream waifu slop anime junk. And I won't necessarily judge those who like it, but I WILL assume they are staight cishet men, because that is specifically what that content is made to appeal to, and I..am not that audience, hah..>_>
Sadly no, only Xenoblade 1 had a dizzy effect. The second game did away with it and the third does have a stun effect but the character is simply knocked down for a moment. It's annoying when "stun" is an effect the game but the character is paralyzed or downed, but not dizzy, lol, I feel baited.Having said that, XB1 had Dizzy, and XB3 at least had Sleep..did XB2 have any cute things liek that? I've actually never seen ryona of the game. I edited Nia and Pyra's cute KOs for my DA years back when I tried to play it but that's all.
Do you have more stuff?Next time remind me to share some other retro content I haven't bothered to post anywhere else yet huehue..
