I actually haven't tried yet, got distracted by other games. I started playing TR 2013 today actually, and I wanted to ask if anyone can explain to why modding the new Tomb Raider games are apparently so hard. The past games have actual nude skins, but the best anyone seems to be able to do with the new games is some sheer clothing that may or may not even work for most of the game.

1 - New games use complicated texture files that give a lot of work to modify.

2 - Gaming companies do not offer more tools to produce mods for their games.

3 - There are few mod tools created by modders for games that run on DirectX 11 and 12

4 - Many companies in recent years have not enjoyed seeing the characters of their games wearing sexy clothes or even nudes and do many things to complicate the work of those who want to modify the characters in the games. In their mentality this helps attract younger players and female players.

5 - All this has helped the community of modders to shrink more and more, which spoils the chance of some game having mods.

The funny thing is that sensuality diminishes but violence is more and more trivialized. For example, the new Dead or Alive 6 will have less sexy characters but will have a system of damage and injury to the character as the fight progresses.

These newer Tomb Raiders also have brutal violence and 0 of sensuality.

Good old days when sexy women in gaming were less offensive than gratuitous, banal violence.

BoobsLover : No worries, in about 10 years we can just use a generative neural network (GAN) as postprocessing "shader". It will work for every game, and for every image or video displayed on the PC. And it will come for free, Facebook etc. are trying to build GAN's to automatically censor images, especially images of naked women. The great thing: the same technology will be usable to do the exact opposite, even when trained for the opposite purpose, each GAN learns both an encoder and an decoder. Sad that that they censor naked women? Yes true. It's everywhere in our society. I am not sure what drives this. Especially Vulva is banned everywhere, and movies are full of dicks. They already allow semi-erect ones too. It's only a matter of time till Facebook will tolerate dicks too, after all man nipples are allowed and female nipples strictly forbidden. Also in the publication, it's not a coincidence that they chose images where the pussy wasn't generated well. Even more likely, they simply removed it. I guess they were afraid to not make it through the peer-review. The GAN could easily construct it comparably good as it did with the breasts and nipples.

I couldn't find a texture replacer that works with it TR Dox.
