Orcs Must Die! 2 not opening with texmod (1 Viewer)

Title pretty much explains it. I can run the game normally but when I place texmod in the exe's folder, name it to OrcsMustDie2 while naming the original to OrcsMustDie2old, the game doesn't open. Texmod opens up fine but when I click run, nothing happens. I've seen people make some mods for it (hence why I'm using texmod on it) so I know it can be done.

Is there a chance that some recent update has changed how the game runs now that we can't use texmod on it any more?

My game launches and runs normally with texmod but no longer applies patches.

There was indeed an update that added Steam Workshop mod support that is probably the culprit.

I made a thread about this in the NSFW Saucy Requests; sorry to split things up but I figured there might be links to NSFW patches and resources involved if posters were able to figure the problem out.
