all of a sudden having issue with special k was working this morning and then the game had a unscheduled minor update during the day and now when special k is activated it acts as if the game is starting but it closes it and when i activate it after launching the game it closes it. help

This expansion tends to drag on, so I did end up just asking Grok to give a lot of them curvy anthro bodies to save time on editing. I promise I am not a scalie.

As a personal taste I'm quite negative adding boobies for non-Dragonspawn drakes.
Rather I took the previous BG Deathwing buddy Sinestra and asked Gemini to fill up backgrounds.

I have made replacers for all tier one units (for now), but I can't figure out how to put them into the game. I believe I must convert them into .DDS (any online converter?), then name them exactly like the original texture I am replacing? If yes, then I don't know how to find the names.

Any help would be appreciated.

There's numerous guides for dumping textures both in and outside the thread, but essentially once you have Special K working, open it ingame with Ctrl+Shift+Backspace, then go to Direct3D 11 Settings > Render Mod Tools. You can then see a long list of texture IDs that you are currently viewing.
If you want these to actually work though, you'll need to resize them in an image editor to the correct resolution, usually 512x512. I've done three of these for you already, though I don't recognise the fourth one.

Here's my tool for converting DDS;

I'm currently using Paint.Net as main editor and it supports DDS file formats. I think you can check yours.

Texconv
in case you are familiar to the command line tools.

For finding code, let me reference my previous answer.
Two different ways I'm using now;
  • Finding single one from specialK UI: While Hearthstone + specialK is loaded, Ctrl-Shirt-Backspace to load specialK. Press Render Mods tool to open another window. Press "Refresh Textures", find the image in the Live Texture View, and and "Dump Texture to Disk". It can pinpoint the image you want, but the image is often missing in the list.
  • Dumping all the images Hearthstone loaded; open dxgi.ini, update "DumpOnFirstLoad=false" into "true". Run Hearthstone and display all the images you want to find. It does not fail, but it dumps too many images at once though.
Then you can find the images in SK_Res/dump directory. You can convert it into PNG/JPG files with paint.net or texconv.
