how can i load mods in the game

i already downloaded 3 versions of the game to try making it work and i can't make it read any mod. i did all, put .SFW on the end of every mod name in the mods.TXT, i tried to put ir in other folders and nothing, i tried 3 diferent loaders and it didn't work what can i do?? help me please...
