Some stun/dizzy/similar stuff I've had saved over the past year or so:

I never see anyone doing the Lost Sword stun animations, hopefully more people will. It's really easy as well, you just need to use Elizabeth's ult in the town hub area, but face away from the character you want to record the stun animation for, if there are no entities in the direction of your ult, the stun will proc on the next closest entity which includes those that are behind you, so you won't kill them, but just stun.

Mamodan (まもダン) recently added a sprite viewer which allows you to view characters you don't own and all of their animations/costumes.

Bocchi stunned from Ragnador (Bocchi the Rock collab event), only on JP stores, however for some reason their game includes English translation, albeit not very accurate most of the time, but still cool. They have their own original characters from the game, as well as a bunch of other collab characters, like Frieren, Lycoris Recoil, etc.
You can stun the opponent's team by breaking all their elemental orbs using elemental attacks, and it's very redoable if you join a clan, you can do mock battles with the enemy/or your own clanmates, free of cost. If you do decide to give the game a shot however, make sure you create an account on one of the older servers, otherwise you will not come across any of the older collab characters as they make new servers quite frequently to accommodate playercounts.

Possible things to look out for in the future:
Chaos Zero Nightmare (new gacha game by the same devs that made Epic 7), I SUSPECT they will have a stun animation for all their characters, but it seems like their main focus is on an alternative status called "breakdown" kinda like a limbus company sanity thing, but it acts like a stun.View attachment 171102

That one crypto game Stella Fantasy (Thief might remember this one), was republished recently as a new improved game called Abyssdia, they changed a lot of things but they definitely still have stuns, I haven't found a good place to record any however.

The creator of Forest of Blue Skin remade their game dubbed "version R", and in this version, almost every monster girl once defeated, will remain stunned until you leave the room. The dev is still frequently updating their game and adding new characters, but it's very hard to find the game online for some reason, I've only been able to find it through other forums.

This might be far fetched but since netmarble remade Seven Knights recently, it might be possible they will remake Knights Chronicle... has some of my favourite stuns, game died too soon, I still have a couple clips for characters Zaysha never got to cover. Will probably put those onto youtube as well.

I would be down to do Girls Frontline 2, however so far it’s upsetting (not the game or the quality as in, the game is great and the quality is fantastic, but in terms of stun animations), Zaysha also found out too but, on global release all of the animations turned out to be the same wireframe kneeling animation, and the swirly stars effect no longer track the characters’ heads either and just floats miles above their model, which is really disappointing because from what I saw in the second CBT for the game each girl had their own stun animation (or at least slightly different animations based on what type of weapon they had), and they weren’t all just kneeling in the same position. Mica Team what were you thinking?!?!
It is possible there’s a similar status effect as well which has the girls standing but I still need to play more to see if my guess is correct, I haven’t had the time nor storage space.

Oh however, exciting news, kinda, I think, I saw a clip where they stun an enemy in Chaos Zero Nightmare (very much a circling stars effect, the monsters even having their own animations) however I have NO CLUE in what way this would be applicable to playable characters in the game, no PVP is planned, and right now all instances of playable character stuns are just of the “breakdown” statuses, can’t find anything regarding dizzy/stun. Guess we’ll have to see.

Ohhh is that tenkei paradox? I was looking at that before but I had no idea they had different facial expressions for status ailment that’s cute. All the DMM games are really annoying to play cause of VPN so I can hardly find anything for them. Either that or when I do find stuff they don’t treat stun with any respect whatsoever (bad/no animation, no facial expression change, lack of particle effects) only one that I’ve seen take it seriously so far is monmusuTD. Like, twinkle star knights couldve been so close to having god tier stun animations, they even have cute voice lines for when characters get stunned, but nope, not even the courtesy of having changes to their sprites. What does it take to have good stuns in a game nowadays???

as it's a web based spine viewer, just be warned it's a little intensive on hardware, for anyone with low-end devices (wouldn't recommend opening on phone browser).

Exported some PNGs and made a mockup of Eva with more clean stun effect.

Say, that's some pretty good work with the sprites. Don't know about you guys, but I think that creating animated gifs is pretty darn hard, so good work even if some glitch a bit.

I wanted to ask for a favor, yeef given something I found. Could you take the dizzy sprites of Princess Peach from this sheet and make an animated gif, with a circling stars effect and all? Yeah, I know I am being greedy, but just asking for a little solid. Also, is it possible to add a stars effec to an existing gif?

And no worries! When I have time I’m happy to give it a go, not greedy at all, I’m only really putting in effort because this community is so darn small, waiting for new content/scouring the corners of the internet for hours is probably way more time consuming than just doing it myself hahah.
Yes you can add the stars effect to existing gifs if they have transparency, if they’re not transparent, the editing would be difficult to make it look convincing (unless the background is a solid color that’s also fine, it’s just when there’s already a complicated background behind it, then it’s not very possible).
Considering the Peach sprite sheet is pixel art, I’d have to either find or just animate the stars effect from scratch, as by game/graphics design philosophy, pixel art needs to be at the same resolution/locked to the same grid for it to look decent (so the stars effect I’ve been currently using might not look right on top of it), but at the same time, it’s not as complicated as it sounds, and if it’s a loop it shouldn’t pose much difficulty getting the right timings.

Also the glitching part of those gifs is just a side effect of using the website itself, the website has a button that directly exports a gif from the animation but because of the lag/optimisation it processes the export incorrectly, for Eva’s stun animation, to get her gif so smooth, I actually had to make markings on-screen to build the gif frame by frame from the png snapshots at each marking, which is probably the effort equivalent of which you assumed we’ve been doing at first, honestly not something I should’ve needed to do if the animations exported correctly in the first place, but alas. I mean some of them from urAGiru_Epts exported just fine luckily.

Regarding websites that are good for making gifs, just use ezgif, very easy to use, you can change the quality at which the gifs are processed and I’ve been using it ever since I joined this thread, never failed me once.

Sadly no, I don't think so. I've looked quite a bit into the game and never seen the girls get stunned by enemies, only being able to inflict stun on foes. It's by the developers of Onechanbara so maybe it follows same design in that regard. The only way is to encounter Ryoko or Akemi as bosses.

yeah, the one stun gif that Zaysha posted on twitter of Groza (the main girl in gfl2) is basically what all of the other character stuns look like, but, I might go back in to double check once they add UMP9 to global, still waiting for her…

Yesss! I did mention Chaos Zero Nightmare having these “breakdown” status of each character, which they all have their own animations for as well, but considering it’s like a “going insane” type of theme it’s not quite the same as a true dizzy/stun, which I’m still really hoping they eventually show it, because I’ve seen them use a circling stars effect for the gimmick of flying enemies only… ??? Why only flying enemies get this status and not other characters is beyond me, but I’ve seen gachas add stun/dizzy effects into their games years into their lifespan and something tells me CZN might still have a chance of implementing possibly a stun mechanic in the future or something maybe for a gimmick for a boss hopefully, but still, probably unlikely/it will be a very long time.

For good news though Stella Sora has stuns, they’re pretty easy to come across as well, in one of the money farming stages or whatever, I forgot, the boss throws out explosives that inflict stun, but they last very very short, which is odd because in the cbt I saw a clip of the exact same boss inflicting a stun which lasted much longer, but I guess for quality of life reasons they shortened it. I’m not sure of any levels that have a longer lasting stun or not, overall the stun effect in this game is really janky, bosses will get unstunned when you restun them, and when the player is stunned they don’t even have a status effect icon to let you know.

And of course, I have no idea if there’s any instance of this stun happening where you’re able to get a close-up on the character models or not so it’s a bit of a bummer, I was going to say perhaps there might be a website with viewable models like blue archive kivo wiki, but this game just came out and somehow its popularity seems to already be dwindling (I think mainly cause of all the drop rate and microtransaction drama when it released global, hella expensive premium currency, and 1% chance for a high rarity character, nasty rates, and among that there might've been some other stuff). People who enjoyed the game seem to still be playing though so it’s probably fine.

ALSO, Thank you for finding this, I really wondered how far in before they actually used Lynette’s proper stun animation in a cutscene for the old version of the game, I couldn’t be bothered to play any longer and the game was about to EoS, this is amazing. I remember that Ruby did show off a stun animation in an Act 1 cutscene but I forgot to get a recording of it, if there’s any other videos with cutscenes we could probably find it, at the very beginning they had the stars effect for Carol (npc) but she was way off the screen, presumably since she’s an npc so they were probably trying to hide the fact they likely didn’t even have an animation for her lol.
