How hard would it be to mod the existing gloves to be fingerless?

Both the long and short versions, and keep the colour change options, but show the fingers underneath and the nail polish sliders still be useful?

Seeing as how the built in gloves are just overlays it would be fairly easy to attach our own overlay to the same layer.
Marlow has created a few outfits for some characters and one contains body armour which includes gauntlets.
That pretty much shows that it can be done.
Next step is to crack open Flash and create it using the mod template by Faceless.

Well, making gloves fingerless is "as easy" as making them with fingers. You only have to draw the gloves without the fingers.

As for keeping both gloves and nails color sliders I don't know if you can have a color slider for mods. As I see it you could :
- make a mod drawing gloves without fingers and keep the nail slider, but lose the gloves one.
- make a mod where you draw fingers, which would cover the existing SDT gloves as mods prevail over everything else, and keep the glove slider, but lose the nails one.

The first one is much more doable so if it's possible to implement a color slider for mods, then yes.

Interesting, I didn't know about that. I still don't really understand the code part.

I made some too a while back actually, with the lara croft costume, available as standalone with loader color slider support.
