You can use those in the rar file n Umod just like dds files.

Use a program called Crazy Bump professionals use this software to create details.

I tried that, but nothing happened. What about clicking the check boxes beside the mod, what does that do?
And the "Remove package" is greyed out, only the "Remove Selected Packages" option is available to me.

Anyways I'm off to work, I'll mess with it later. Any help is appreciated!

I just wanted to post an update for anyone having mod removal issues.

In the end I had to simply delete the entire UMod folder and unpack a fresh version from the .rar file

I had to reinstall all the mods, which isn't a big deal, it doesn't take very long, and the new version showed up just fine afterwards.
