Ryona:

• One female character out of a roster of nine characters, which are based on Japanese culture.
• Inspired heavily by Mortal Kombat, it features digitized characters played by real actors and a lot of violence, including simplistic but gory post-match fatalities.
• In keeping with that theme, there is a lot of blood coming out after every move. Once players accumulate enough damage to fill up the colored bar, an explosion-effect is added to many of their attacks, increasing the spilled blood tenfold.
• Some characters have silly-looking moves, like the clay statue who often increases the size of its head to attack with.
• Each character has at least two grab moves, including air grabs.
• Each character can throw projectiles.

Female Characters:

• Kasumi is a ninja brandishing metal claws on each arm and wearing a short red kimono. Her moves are based on her innate flexibility and ruthless use of her aforementioned claws.
