• You take the role of Aeon Flux, a secret agent of Monica, in various missions against Bregna, a dystopian state ruled by the main antagonist, Trevor Goodchild.
• The game's art style and character designs are modeled primarily after the live-action movie where the actress Charlize Theron played Aeon.
• The missions often end with Aeon dying due to her own incompetence or by fate as she did in the first six cartoon shorts.
• There is no real continuity to the game's plot, although it does try to fill in some gaps between the movie and cartoon.
• In one mission, you play as Aeon who is married to Trevor Goodchild.
• Aeon basically takes on a unique outfit for each mission in the game. Her outfits are an odd mix of leather body suits and stylized combat armor.
• The combat is very similar to Bloodrayne 2 and most likely uses the Infernal game engine.
• Most of the humanoid enemies are male although there is one common female enemy (Hostess) and two female bosses, one of them being Una, Aeon's younger sister.
• Each humanoid enemy except the minigun wielding brute has one grab move that you are capable of struggling out of and countering. Example: The basic foot soldier enemy has a grab that starts as a full nelson and ends with him striking Aeon in the back of the head, causing her to bend over, and then forcing her to the ground with a boot to her ass.
• Aeon has a decent set of animations for taking damage and the voice set has a wide variety of combat sounds and dialogue.
• The enemies have a variety of dialogue used when attacking Aeon, some of which sound sexually aggressive in their context. Example: "That's it, now submit!", "On your knees, Monican.", "Almost finished."
• Aeon has firearms at her disposal as well as melee attacks, although ammo is somewhat limited throughout the game, even more scarce at higher difficulty levels. She is also capable of blocking many attacks with a kind of energy shield. However, holding block for too long will cause enemies to use a a shield breaking attack that will knock her to the ground.
