• The main protagonist of the story is code named Konoko, later in the story her full name is revealed to be Mai Hasegawa.
• She starts as an officer of the TCTF ( Technological Crimes Task Force ) until she finds out they are involved in a dystopian government conspiracy.
• There are a decent variety of enemies in the game, each with their own fighting style and throws.
• As you progress through the game, you will encounter a wider variety of enemies that you will have to fight simultaneously and learn new attacks at the start of certain levels.
• There is one female variety of enemies called "Fury" that Konoko can perform her own large variety of attacks on.
• Excluding the factory worker thug, all enemies have at least two throw or grab combo moves and can attack Konoko while she is knocked down on the ground.
• Enemies will generally use throws/grabs when standing in melee range after repeatedly blocking their attacks. Some throws will be executed while running towards Konoko, such as tackles.
• Konoko has a full set of voice work, including pain sounds caused by environmental and enemy damage and also a separate set of sounds for deaths ranging from quiet gasps to full screams. She also has a set of taunts.
• While the game was released in 2001 and the 3D models and textures are typical for games released at the time, its very fluid and lifelike animations were well received.
• Using cheat codes, it is possible to cycle Konoko through all the available character models that are loaded for the currently loaded level.
• The art direction and style was admittedly based on and influenced by Ghost in the Shell.
• While there are many guns available in the game, most of the combat is hand to hand martial arts.
