KOFXIII Yuri Mods (1 Viewer)

When the arcade version of KOFXIII leaked a couple years back, I went about seeing how moddable it is. This is more or less the result of that experimentation. If there's demand, I have more palettes for other characters that I've gathered or created myself. To install, simply unzip the palettes and drop them into the palettes folder in your KOFXIII directory (should go something like Steam > Steamapps > Common > King of Fighters XIII > Palettes). Probably want to backup those palette files before doing that. To select palettes with the 101D label, press Select while selecting Yuri's colors. For the one 001D palette, this replaces the default 06 (the numbers after the underscore indicate the color choice, leading by 1).

I would also like to see more!

I might see about whether or not I can edit Yuri's portraits to see if I can make them a bit sexier for this mod. Take her spats off, have her nipples pushing the cloth of her gi out

Not naked as many are wanting, but definitely not crap. Also, I know first hand about the kind of work that must be done to edit a sprite based character. Unlike the polygon characters we are used to these days, 2D characters are composed of hundreds of sprites, each a carefully created drawing, usually made by hand. A modder must check and edit each of these sprites. So that means, having to draw like 200+ vaginas and double the nipples for such a work.

I know most of you know how 2D works, but keep this as a reminder.

(Taking a line from a mod you know) Very respectfully.

Absolutely correct! Modding sprite-based content is excruciating work. A good analogy used in the industry is "Imagine if every frame of animation was its own character." I started posting these mostly to see if there was any interest in 2D stuff (fighting games especially). I'm looking around to see what the mugen community has come up with and if I can somehow use that to edit KOFXIII proper. Fingers crossed.

At the moment, I'm working on editing Mai's palette to give a similar effect to Yuri. In the meantime, here's a few more, simpler edits.

(i respect the tan idea but i think that same skin color modding is better)
waiting for the other females there
