Hello everyone. I'm playing AION 2 on the Taiwan server and planning to play on Steam Global. Playing in Taiwan is getting boring, and I'll be leaving soon. I've been meaning to figure out how to unpack AION 2 files, check out the costumes, bodies, and textures. Now I've gotten around to it, and I'm sharing the results with you. It's unlikely anyone doesn't know or can't do what I'm sharing here, but still. I've been working with deepseek for a long time and have gotten used to doing everything in the command line, and honestly, it's easier that way. That's why you'll see command line codes in this guide. I hope everything is clear.
Important: all file paths will be your own; I'm providing the paths as an example, so don't make any mistakes. AION 2 is identical to Blade & Soul in terms of model structure. I don't want to deal with that anymore; I'm done with Blade & Soul, thanks. In the archive attached to the message, you will find the necessary software.
FULL PROCEDURE: UNPACKING → EXPORTING → PACKING THE MOD
STAGE 1: UNPACKING GAME RESOURCES
1.1 Launching umodel
Open the folder F:\AION_Unpacker\FModel\
Launch it umodel_materials_ue5.exe

Mapping File: specify the path to AION2-5.3.2.0.usmap
Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\NC\AION2_TW\Aion2\Content\Paks
1.2 Exporting the model
In umodel, go to the folder: AION2/Content/Character/Player/GF/Armor/0000/GF_0000_T01/
Select the necessary files (for example, GF_0000_T01_Body.uasset, GF_0000_T01_Boots.uasset, etc.)
Click Export → select the ActorX (psk) format
Specify the folder to export: F:\AION_Unpacker\UmodelExport\
Click OK
Result: The UmodelExport folder will appear .psk models and .tga textures.
STAGE 2: EDITING THE MODEL (OPTIONAL)
Install the plugin for Blender: Blender PSK/PSA Importer
Open Blender → import the .psk file
Make changes (position, size, shape, etc.)
Export it back to .psk (save it to the same folder)
STAGE 3: PREPARING THE STRUCTURE FOR THE MOD
3.1 Create a fashion folder
3.2 Copy the model files
3.3 Copy the textures (if available)
The structure should be:
STAGE 4: PACKING THE MOD
4.1 Go to the tools folder
4.2 Packaging via repak
4.3 (Optional) Conversion to IoStore
If the game uses IoStore (Aion 2 uses it), create .utoc/.ucas:
Result: The MyMod_P.pak (and possibly .utoc + .ucas) files will appear.
STAGE 5: INSTALLING THE MOD IN THE GAME
5.1 Copy the mod files
If you created it .utoc/.ucas:
5.2 Verification
STAGE 6: LAUNCHING THE GAME AND CHECKING
