Description:
This is a tough-as-nails platformer/beat 'em up hybrid published by Capcom exclusively for the Super Nintendo. The game features fighting game-style inputs for special moves, well done sprites and animations, and several tough boss fights against popular X-Men villains, such as Magneto, Apocalypse, and Omega Red, among others. The game also has a password system so that you can start the game at any level and includes a "Training Mode" where you can play the game at an easier difficulty.

Ryona:
- There is one selectable female character out of five characters total.
- The player can be punched, kicked, shot, blasted by grenades, rammed, attacked with energy-based projectiles, and hit with tentacles.
- One enemy type, called Brood, are bugs that can jump and cling onto the player character, which then proceed to chew on the character.
- One enemy type, called a Tuskette, is a small being that throws bombs and has the ability to jump and cling to the player character, disabling their ability to move.
- A boss character, Omega Red, has the ability to grab the player character with his tentacle weapon and slowly siphon the life out of the character.
- Psylocke's damage sprites tend to make her look rather vulnerable, with her thrusting her breasts outwards whilst arching her head back upon being struck or chewed on by a Brood while standing upright, as well as her spreading her legs whilst arching her head back upon being struck while crouching.
Playable Female Characters:
- Psylocke is a mutant with telepathic powers and the ability to create "psychic knives" in order to defeat her foes. Her original identity is Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock, although her body unwillingly underwent a transformation into that of a Japanese ninja assassin's by a ninja clan called the Hand, thus giving her better physical conditioning and fighting skills in combat.
