Finally finished reinstalling the game and...

I can barely understand the restriction Nozomi is following when it comes to what users they'll allow to follow them. I mainly just wanted toask them if I could have some of the mods they made for private use , but it doesn't seem like they'll let any new users in anytime soon based on the hard to understand rules they're basing adding followers on...

Could the fact that we don't have smart inner have any effects on a mod's textures ? If not...how can I edit a texture in pso2 ?
Of course it does. Innerwears are flat textures and many nude JP MODs use that Smart Inner [In] to make underwears invisible and to add nipple/pussy textures. Editing textures in PSO2 can be easy or hard according to your own skills. Send me a PM. I'll give you some details.

Many Twitter accounts of modders were hacked and many PSO2 accounts of modders were banned by SEGA thanks to some "new users".
So, people decided to lock their accounts and you now have to prove your credentials (by sharing screenshots of your MODs for example)
before being accepted. It's only a security procedure. I'm sorry but I really don't know what's hard to understand in that. Nobody wants to
get banned and/or to lose his account. I'm sure you're in agreement with this, Barg. Glad you managed to restore your game, though.

I asked them about it and rather than explain it better, they just said I didn't meet 2 of the things.

....but they still didn't elaborate. I'm just going to give up at this point because it's too much at this point.

Last time I check the NA version, it still didn't have the Smart Inner [In] (which is widely used when it comes to JP nude MODs).
I will assume that the Steam version (based on PSO2NA) doesn't have it either. You will have to use the Race Inner [In] instead.
Send me a PM with a screenshot of this issue (as well as the type of pussy used). Then I will do all the needed changes for you.

Race Inner [In] = Human/Newman/Dewman/CAST Inner [In]

Forgive me, but I just wanted to ask if you'd seen the PM/conversation I started with you? I posted the screenshot and info you requested in thre so as not to further clutter this thread.

EDIT KlebsTAQ - I've seen it (a little late indeed) and I've answered to you.

Still pretty new to modding PSO2, what happen in the past to this community? It seem everyone is on edge, just got blocked by a very active member after I made a joke. Too be honest I do realize it was a silly joke, and feel sorry about it.

Still is it me or it feel like everyone is reserved to each other? Like keep everyone at bay because they are scared. Even before the hacking of some account on Twitter.

PSO2 modding scene was quite permisive some years ago. But some people began to spread the MODs of many creators on an uncountable
numbers of places (most of them being sensitive) without permission while openly giving the names of the original creators.
This led to a lot of bans from SEGA at the same time. Would you believe. So, many creators decided to lock their social network accounts and
to share MODs with people they can put a minimum trust in. It has been the default behaviour of JP community, by the way.
Does this slow down the modding scene ? Sure it does, one can't immediately get a MOD he wants anymore and now have to be trustworthy
in modder's view. But it is far safer for our creators (a slow down being better than losing his account because of bad guys) !
Moreover, that is the choice of the authors and we have to respect it. Even if we're not in agreement. You know, I recently decided to lock my
own Twitter account too. In any case this doesn't prevent modders and users from exchanging "things" here on Undertow. ;)
I would add it's a very typical thing of the westerner community to always want to get everything immediately, often without
giving anything in return. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Westerner guy too ! :) But we have to admit this matter of fact.
Whatever you're from JP or NA the consensus when it comes to MODs is now to follow the procedure of the JP community...
You respectfully have to post, to like, to share, to be active on Twitter and to forge links before getting most MODs.

So if you compare to other community it seem the big difference was SEGA. They did not realize how much mod can keep players coming back. It is sad because I do pay, or payed, for mods on other games (FF14, Sims4, Darkest Dungeon, etc), not sure how much a Patron sub help, but I'm sure it is better then being stuck in a (comparatively) very small Twitter group.

So if I don't use Twitter, like, at all, I'm shit out of luck getting my fix of mods? wew
It's exactly that ! One is free to not follow the guideline of modders but in that case one must not be surprised if one doesn't get any MOD.
People (the seekers) can't simply ask modders (the donors) to bend to their will and to change their ways of doing. That's not how it goes.
Modders work hard and offer their creations freely. They only ask one thing in return. Why people wanting MODs couldn't make an effort ?

Mods should be freely shared. Give credit where credit is due, but they should not force anyone to do something they don't want to do

There is some public mods on Latest mods who will give you a solid base, so you are not completely without sources to start building your own mods.

I agree, it is the right of the modders to pick the way to share mods, and I will never abuse someone to change it. If someone feel I doing it, I'm very sorry, it is not my intention. Twitter has been shown as a un-secure platform not this long ago by members of this very community. So I understand why some don't want to use it. The "I don't like to put "porn" on twitter because I'm scare it could be linked to me in the future" is valid.

And don't forget all of the issue raised, even the "westerner", as been faced be all modding community since the beginning. PSO2 is not a special case. It feel very self defeating. I compare it a bit like when company would not port game on PC because of piracy. Sure no one will copy you game, but you won't expand your public.

This post won't change the mind of modders and it is okay, but I hope it shine a light on valid reasons why Twitter is not for everyone. In this case, both side seem to be right.

Please get back on topic. The thread is "Phantasy Star Online 2 - Lewd Mods'

Very respectfully,
fleet (global moderator)
We are talking about PSO2 lewd mods infact , the issue that arised is simply just due to the game's ( JP ) modding community hiding their mods behind private twitter profiles and such , thing which NA / EU players ( including myself ) do not really like .
Some modders even put more strict requirements in place such as "post <insert number> of pics per week on your blog or be excluded from having access to mods" and such which make this policy be even more annoying to tolerate .
I am okay with respecting someone else's will but as many other people stated this whole situation could be handled much better ( the way ffxiv's modding community does for example ) and it's getting discouraging for many new EU or NA players to even attempt to get some mods for the game . I honestly can't wait for an EU / NA modding community to start developing and sharing content without this unneeded necessity of so much secrecy or without advancing such demands .

That's just it .
Still very respectfully ,

Ely .

In fact, I was the first to try to give my work freely, for a long time my editions were available to the public, but a certain community, a bit harassing, threatened me, even my account was hacked, and you realize that people only download your content and not even thank you, do you know how long it takes to make an edition, and see that people do not value it? that's why now I prefer quality followers, instead of large quantity

I support that, and I'm not on any social media at all (I can't stand them; comment sections and forums are as close as I get). I think it sucks, but it's your right to do want you want with your work.

On the flipside, though, have you considered that not sharing it openly because of the crappy minority might actually keep some of those "quality followers" away as well?

Of the skins I've seen yours is the best, but I won't jump through hoops and sign up to platforms I wouldn't otherwise use to get it. That'd be just stupid on my part.

How can one qualify actions taken to restrain a problem as "unnecessary" when one didn't experience the said problem ?
I'm truly unable to understand. But I will respect everyone's points of view as usual. I will not argue anymore about it though.
Nozomi summed up the issue pretty well. I hope disappointed people will get many other MODs from the EU/NA modders !

Idk about the things you guys went through so perhaps my throughts about the topic are naive in this case but I've been playing MMOs for 10+ years and I swear I have never heard of modders getting banned unless they showed their character name in a screenshot or someone else did it in order to harass them ; this brings to the second issue....I've never heard of a whole modding community being harassed so much that they'd all get scared to share their stuff . Pardon me but it just looks unreal . XIV's modding community is way bigger and nothing of this sort ever happened , Tera's , BnS's , BDO's , ecc all happen to be about as big as PSO2's from what I can see and people still share stuff on their twitters / tumblrs / discords or even here on undertow without a worry .
Again , this isn't to say that such things can not happen...just that it's so odd it makes me raise an eyebrow .

This isn't about you or your content specifically , Nozomi .
I'm sorry you had to go through that kind of stuff as well and no...since I only ever messed with textures modding and not with mesh modding I don't know how long it takes to make that stuff in 3ds / maya or any other software ; I only ever used them to extract stuff from games , reload it in the software , link the bones once more , recolor it , pose it or animate it and mess with the lights / enviroment to create some nice looking renders....that's all I did . I don't know a thing about 3d modeling .
Anyway , it is fine to prefer quality over quantity ( for as much as I still don't think I agree with the decision of "x" pictures per week / month as it just puts stress on people...but alright ) .
The issue here is about any kind of mods from almost any JP PSO2 modder being hidden , private , not available , ecc . People don't know what to look for nor where to start looking at in order to find some mods that look nice and every time they try and ask the reply seems to be "Sorry , I can't say that / I can't share it" .
It gets a little bit discouraging when all you are doing is trying to make your game look a little bit nicer so that you can enjoy it more , maybe post some pics for your friends to see .

In any case...it's fine , I respect you guys and your decisions , just felt like I had to share my opinion on the subject .

Sorry I'm not gonna waste my time starting up and running an entire blog to post random SS of just one game regularly just to gain and maintain access to some mods. That's one of the weirdest and dumbest things to ask of people that I've seen, asking too much for little to no gain. I can live without mods I guess, but would've been nice to spice up my game a bit.
Don't get me wrong, I get where you modders are coming from and I wouldn't wish on anyone to get hacked and harassed for stupid reasons, but this is just ridiculous. This whole situation is... Have never seen anything remotely similar to be fair.

Yes I've been eying some of the mods there, thanks!
