On the Options click Modding. Under that you'll find Custom Save Data. Click Generate and copy and save onto a txt file the string of text that appears in the line above the Generate button. That's the character code. :)

One clarification: it's customary to do this only if you've carefully customized the game settings to fit the character. Background, clothing, iris colour, makeup, mood, resistance, body and breast size, etc... The most important detail to include (because it's difficult for people to match without assistance) is any customized values for the HSLC and ARGB sliders.

If you haven't heavily customized the character -- if you launched the game and imported your custom hairstyle and immediately took a screenshot -- then anyone asking for a character code is being lazy and you can just ignore them. :P
