I’m not a computer whiz, so I don’t do mods…
What I do is dialogs and I’ve posted a couple here…
After ‘recreating the wheel’ a few dozen times I came up with a couple of simple tools to make things easier for me.
You’ll need the loader and moreclothing, at a minimum, for these to work.
1) The first is a text that I’ve labeled ‘common commands’.
It contains my most commonly used commands so I can copy and paste them to the dialog and avoid those pesky typos (that I’m prone too).
2) The second is a blank dialog with some common things (mostly her removing her clothing) preloaded…
For example, if you want her to remove her top, simply type [tops] in the line and cut the following line address from that line and paste it into the tops line, then continue the dialog.
Cutting and pasting the following line saves you from having to remember where you are in the dialog and avoids typos and I have found it to be a big help.
I also added 0’s to all my single digits in the ‘intro’ so they show up in order even after getting into the teens.
If you need to go back and add a line simply type [the same address as the one, you’re on (plus a letter)] then add a line with that address and it will fall in line as well.
This has proven to be a big help when I’m editing, since I don’t have to jump around all over the text and can do it all in the game dialog tool.
You can, of course, customize the texts to include some of your favorite phrases and such (which I’ve done with mine but left out so you can make your own modifications).
I’m sure I’m not the first to think of something like this but I’ve never seen anyone post tools like these and think they’d be a help to new dialog writers (and maybe a few of the older ones).
I hope you can use them and enjoy them.
