A rare superheroine peril film, where a hardcore female bodybuilder plays the role of the villain's lackey, a dull witted clone, who personifies Supernova's brutal nature. Not only is this all muscle, no brain stereotype rather corny, but the producer relies heavily on recycled and overplayed plot devices, so, there won't be too many surprises for ardent fans of these low budget films. As per the usual routine, the champion of good proves too impotent to stand for truth and justice, let alone defend herself, as the cunning villain completely strips Supernova of all power and virtue, and then violates her with absolute impunity. Disillusioned and demoralized, the would be freedom fighter is really only a prostrate prisoner of lust, and a pitiful demise at the cold hands of her ruthless arch enemy is her sole means of escape.
As for Ashley Lane, she's not as athletic as I'd have preferred (too thin), butt the costume does lend her a lot of sex appeal, and I'd much sooner give HER a ride than whoever or whatever played the role of the she-brute monster. At the very least, fondling this superpowerless babe was enjoyable, especially since she has a slender waistline. Moreover, she turned out to be a pretty good actress. In this category, she was better than anyone else on the set, including the guy who played the villain.
