General:
- Core gameplay is very similar to Street Fighter 4. There are Super Combos, EX Attacks and Ultras (called Super Arts in SFxT).
- Game is focused on tag team battles, and both teams choose two fighters from the Street Fighter and/or Tekken series. The first team to have one of their fighters' health reduced to zero loses.
- Street Fighter side: Chun-li, Cammy, Ibuki, Poison, Juri
- Tekken side: Nina, Julia, Lili, Asuka, Xioayu
- DLC characters: Sakura, Elena, Alisa, Christie
There is also DLC packs that allow to swap fighters' costumes so that SF characters can dress up like Tekken people and vice versa.
Street Fighter side: Ryu, Ken, Guile, Chun-li, Abel, Cammy, Sagat, Dhalsim, Zangief, Rolento, Ibuki, Hugo, Poison, Vega, Balrog, Bison, Dudley, Juri, Elena, Cody, Guy, Rufus, and Akuma
Tekken side: Kazuya, Nina, King, Marduk, Bob, Julia, Hwoarang, Steve, Yoshimitsu, Raven, Kuma, Heihachi, Lili, Jin, Jack, Bryan, Law, Paul, Asuka, Christie, Leo, Xioayu, humanoid-Ogre ( he will be the final Boss as well)

Ryona:
- Ryona in SFxT comes mainly from normal throws (two per character), special attacks and Super Arts (SFxT Ultras are called Super Arts).
- Some SF4 characters have exactly same Super Arts as in SF4, but some characters have new or slightly different Super Arts. Tekken and Final Fight characters have Super Arts as well.
- Biggest difference to SF4 is that most the attacks are more flashier and faster, which makes then less sexy and not so good for ryona. For example Ibuki's SF4 Ultra, where she punches her victim into crotch with her elbow is turned into a very flashy attack in SFxT, and it is harder to figure out what is going on in the attack.
- Tag team element also brings a techinque called Cross Art. Cross Art allows combining Super Arts of both of the team's fighters into one combo, so that the first fighter does his/her Super Art on the victim and then the other fighter continues the combo by doing his/her Super Art immediately afterwards. So for example King and Zangief can combine their Super Arts so that first King does a bone-cracking Super Art, and then Zangief does his super piledriver straight afterwards.
- Tekken character have some of their signature grab moves from Tekken, but very few of them (usually about 1-5 attacks). See the list of good ryona moves below.
- Some good ryona inflictors in the game are King, Zangief, Marduk, Kuma, Poison, Hugo, and Nina.
- Reason why this game gets ryona rating of 4/5 is that the game simply doesn't have as good ryona as SF4 or Tekken 6, making it not so appealing for ryona lovers. Moves of SFxT are simply too flashy, fast and there are too few very good ryona grabs/throws.
Here's a list of some of moves that can be considered good of ryona:
Fighter: | Moves: |
Hugo | 1) Moonsault Press: Grabs his opponent and spin very high into the air, then slams them to the ground under his body. 2) Backbreaker. 3) Giant Palm Breaker: giant clapping attack (squeezes his opponent's head and throws her away) 4) Super Art: Grabs his opponent and puts her over his neck/back. Leaps into the air and squeezes her over his neck twice, ending with a body slam similar to moonsault press. |
Poison | 1) Slapshot: Grabs her opponent by the collar and slap them several times. 2) Frankensteiner: Wraps her legs around her opponent's neck and flips them behind her (opponent's head between legs). 3) Love Storm: forces her opponent down to ground under her shoe heel, then lashes our with a flurry of whip attacks, and finally launches her opponent into the air. |
Kuma | 1) Bearhug. 2) Headbutt. 3) Fart attack: Kuma knocks the opponent down, then places its rear near her face and releases big gas cloud (stink face!). |
Marduk | 1) Takedown followed by three punchs while his opponent is pinned to the ground. 2) Super Art: Tackles and pins his opponent to the ground, followed by a long flurry of punches to the face. |
King | 1) Wonderful Mexican Special Combo: First suplex, then a body slam, and finally a leg breaker. 2) Muscle Buster: (Variation of num 1) After two hits land switches into a high air shoulder slam. |
Zangief | 1) Piledriver. 2) A Super Spinning piledriver (from slightly different angle) |
Cammy | 1) Frankensteiner: Wraps her legs around her opponent's neck and flips them behind. 2) Flying Neck Breaker (similar to SF4 move). |
Nina | 1) Double Arm Break (same as in Tekken). |
