Spoiler: Troubleshooting

Q:I installed the files but nothing changed.
A: Did you delete the files out of the zip file.

Before deleting recommend to extract originals. (For Storage)
Or copy the whole data.zip file to another location.
Repacking the whole file is not recommended and may cause the game to crash based on user post.

Q: All I see is White.
A: Check to see if the files are in the right path.

Q: I want to delete the mod, but now I only see white.
A: If you didn't backup your originals you will need to re-install or re-download the original.

Thanks for this. I did remove the specified files from the .zip with 7-Zip but that ends up in my character being a white/gray untextured blob. Is there another way I have to do it?

Sounds like the texture files are not in the right place.

Orcs Must Die 2/data/art/avatar/Sorceress

The zip file is set to extract to "Orcs Must Die 2" with full paths. You might want to check if there is a Orcs Must Die 2/data/data

Sorry for the necro bump but can anyone get this mod to work still? Tried using the method in the OP but the game wont load. It seems they did something to change how the game works or Im doing something wrong.

Just to be clear, the method I used was:
.Extract DATA.zip to a new folder
.delete the files then add in the edited files
.Repack back into DATA.zip
.Remove the original DATA.zip and add in the edited version

Game just crashes on startup now. Wondering if anyone has had better luck.

Verified that it does still work.

Extracting the entire data.zip file isn't needed and may have caused the crash.

I would clean install then delete the files out of the data.zip file that you would be replacing (The ones from the mod).
Copying the data.zip file is recommended as a back up.
The modded files only need to be extracted to the game directory. Not repacked into the zip file.

I have changed the first post to specify more clearly the steps needed.
