The girl's upper arm is oriented vertically; flexion of the elbow will rotate the forearm clockwise and counterclockwise within a drawing layer.
The elbow does not rotate so as to swing the forearm into the background (or foreground).
The one exception to this rule is the "Back" position for the arms. However, this position is static; it ignores the IKController logic and is insensitive to motion tweens.
Hence, we could get the girl to "cross her arms" in front of her (by crudely hardcoding some rotations and translations) but the girl's arms would be frozen into this new position. It would look OK when she's hilt-deep on his cock and clutching tightly onto him, but as soon as she begins to pull back we'd see her arms clip through his buttocks or thighs.
The reference image itself indicates pretty clearly that "this position is not appropriate for gameplay" because there's no slack to allow for movement -- the player couldn't do anything without breaking the girl's arms.
The girl can't move back far enough to latch onto the penis (or get it out of her mouth, if it's already inside).
At best, this position would serve as a sort of "freeze frame" - something which might be invoked by a custom dialog (e.g. during ejaculation) before reverting to a normal position in order to proceed with gameplay.
donky777 - If you're really interested in playing around with specialized custom poses, then you'll probably need to look into 3d games. A few people have mentioned Klub17 in the shoutbox. I'll toss in a recommendation of my own, with the caveat that it consists entirely of furry content (i.e. anthropomorphized non-human animals). If that's outside your comfort zone, then please ignore the Spoiler block below.
This is a 3d game (developed in Unity) which makes heavy use of simulated physics. The limbs of the characters can be attached to props within the scene (or attached to other limbs) with varying degrees of "firmness." This is all done within the game window. You don't need to manually load mods, or browse a website for custom files to download, or use an external application such as Animtools. Of course, it may be daunting for a newbie to setup a complete sex position+animation from scratch, but you can load an existing position (there are hundreds of them, created by the userbase, all accessible from within the game window). Once you've played around with the game a bit, you may feel confident enough to make a few tweaks to one of the premade files. Eventually you might create entire scenes from scratch.
Unlike SDT, there's no actual gameplay control. The keyboard and mouse are used to configure the scene and choose animation parameters. Once the simulation is running, you're essentially limited to moving the camera around. You can also jump between the "snapshots" that you've pre-defined, e.g. to speed up the action or force an immediate orgasm.
The robust physics backend allows you to create sexual scenarios which involve close proximity and/or direct bodily contact, while still allowing you to minimize instances of clipping. The game does not automatically avoid clipping, but you can usually prevent it if you're willing to spend ten seconds getting the elbows and knees oriented correctly. The customizability is a huge bonus for scenario creators, because you can convey a huge amount of information via posing and body language. This is shown in the screenshots above - the exaggerated lordosis posture implies that the female character is playing a submissive role; the guy's hands on the girl's neck imply a rough or even violent nature for the scene.
Limbs can be attached to props within the scene, so that the prop acts as a "support" or "cushion" or "restraint" (depending on context). Limbs can also be attached to any element of either character's anatomy. This can be useful when plotting out a sexual position (e.g. she lifts her legs into the air and he grabs her calves), but also gives you "something to do" with a limb which isn't directly needed for the scene. You might let the limb dangle freely, or use a spare elbow to brace the character against a nearby wall, rest a hand in front of the character's face to indicate reluctance or shyness, or assign a spare hand to make a girl grope her own breasts.
One neat feature that I can't show in screenshots is "Force." I was going to record a demo animation, but then I remembered that there's one included on the game's homepage. Because the characters are fully physics-simulated, it's possible for a character's pelvic thrust to push the other character away (or in the extreme case - knock them off their feet!). Naturally, this feature ties in well with the limb-attachment feature mentioned above. You can create a "gentle" position by setting up close body contact; pose the characters so that they're spooning, hugging, or holding hands; configure the animation for short thrusts and/or grinding; split the thrust vector and Force parameters so that both characters seem to be eager participants. Or you can create a "rough" position by moving the characters far apart (to allow for vigorous thrusting); apply one-sided Force so that the submissive character gets knocked around; assign the dominant character to grasp the submissive character's limbs (to emphasize their control of the scene) ... or even restrain the submissive character's limbs with on-screen props.
Of course, you can also mix things up - perhaps a "gentle" scene would begin as described above, but the speed and Force of the thrusting would increase as the characters approached orgasm.
Somewhat surprisingly, the boob-physics system in this game is still pretty rudimentary. They'll presumably fix it at a later date. The butt-physics system is fairly impressive.
Here are some examples to illustrate the "storytelling" power of the posing and physics system:
In the first screenshot, the girl's right arm is wrapped around the guy's neck and her left hand is braced against a nearby table. His arms are wrapped tightly around her, with his hands on her breasts. These attachments will persist during gameplay - he'll hold onto her breasts as they bounce around, and she'll keep hold of his neck as he leans back and forth. If you attempt to use very long thrusts (which would pull the character apart) or very vigorous thrusts (which would cause limbs to bounce around) then you'll probably experience clipping. Hence, the initial posing of the characters into a "gentle" setup forces you to also choose "gentle" parameters for the sex animation.
The second screenshot shows a missionary position scene in which the characters' fingers are intertwined. Note that his elbow is bent. As he pulls away (to prepare for a thrust), his arm will straighten. If he attempted to pull very far away, then both of their arms would straighten out fully, and he would begin to lift her away from her supine position. As in the previous example, the hand-hold pose establishes a gentle/loving tone for the scene, and disallows us from animating it as a violent grudgefuck.
The third screenshot shows an unusual "hanging garden" position in which the girl's feet rest on the guy's thighs. The scene appears very precarious, so each character grasps the forearms of the other in order to add a smidgen of plausibility. The thrusting motion in this scene is smooth and is dominated by the girl -- the guy mostly just stays in place and attempts to keep his balance. If we put him in charge of the thrusting then the girl would bounce around too much; the scene would become visually implausible ("how are they keeping their balance? shouldn't they both just fall over?") and it wouldn't be enjoyable to watch.
The fourth image shows a doggystyle scene. Each thrust by the guy will impart a lot of Force to the girl -- her knees and shins will remain in place, but the rest of her body will be knocked forward. Because he's grasping her forearms, she won't be knocked completely off balance; she'll recover from each thrust after being pushed forward 20-30cm. However, this position makes it very apparent that the guy is dominant; she has no way to brace herself and can't really push back against his thrusts. We could modify the thrust vector to put her in charge, but it would look awkward and silly.
One significant limitation: the game does not yet support oral sex. Vaginal and anal penetration are officially supported; players have managed to setup fisting, frottage, titjobs, and handjobs. See image below:
