Yeah, well, I know it isn't "that ridiculous" , but I wanted to soften it a bit and sound polite in case its creator ever reads this thread! :-P
Played through the final version a bit and it feels and plays like it's still in development, wouldn't even call it an alpha version. Apparently the creator realised that forcing the player to only play against the male when choosing a female or against the bikini girl when choosing the girl was an awful premise, so he decided to correct it. And instead of doing the logical thing and allow the player to choose their opponent, he instead had the brilliant idea of changing your opponent every time a match ends. That's right, your opponent changes after every match, no matter if you won or lost. What's that? You enjoyed that round very much and would like a repeat to enjoy it again? Too bad, sucker!
There are three new characters in the roster now, one is a sexy dancer, one is a pre-teen girl with no bra (...) and the other is a huge green radioactive... man-alien thing. Their AI is horrible, as despite their plethora of moves, they only use some of them, often repetitively, just like the bikini girl's and the blue girl's which haven't been upgraded a bit. For some reason, the dancer uses her Special move almost immediately when her Special gauge fills up, while the others hardly ever use it, with the blue girl apparently unwilling to use it even if her life depended on it. Of course that's no big loss as their Special moves are boring as all get-out, with the green Hulk-wannabe doing the original male's headbutt (yeah, that annoying headbutt, nothing more) and the pre-teen girl throwing a fireball. Seriously, what's the point of that? Is there someone that might be turned on by seeing a girl throw a fireball? Maybe if it was Ryu or Ken they might, but not me! And give that huge green dude a Ryona grab ffs, why did you give the original male three of them and kept none for this guy??
Aaaaand last but by no means least, the creator also had an idea of using different stages. But since the whole game takes place in a dungeon he couldn't change the background, so he changed the foreground... inserting items in front of your characters so that THEY HIDE THE ACTION FROM THE GAMER. One of the new stages has huge bars that only let you see half the action, and the other has items like a torturing device (no, it's not usable) and a pillar. A huge pillar. A huge, tall wide pillar... OKAY, what is the freaking point in inserting a tall and wide pillar right in front of the place your character starts???? Who wants to play a ryona game where a girl gets beat up and you don't get to see it???? Not to mention how hard it is to attack if you can't even see what you are doing or where your opponent is!! You're right d£t, this is not ridiculous... this is way beyond ridiculous!!
Rant over. Sorry that I talked so much but I really needed to get all that frustration out of my chest. Enjoy the game, everyone!
