Thanks to Cerophono's patcher I have been really keen to check out all the different Valkyrie costumes to hopefully combine different pieces and land on a nice look to play my Valk on. After rummaging through the PAZ files, I found all the Valkyrie costume models. I figured out how to quickly check out how each model would look like and figured I might as well dump them here to you fine folk.

I use the following 'set code' convention: XX YYYY[_ZZ]
This translates to a PAC file as: PVW_XX_<BODY PART>_YYYY[_ZZ].PAC
<BODY PART> is whatever part of the body the costume piece is (eg. UB, LB, Hand, Foot, etc.)
[_ZZ] is an optional part of some pieces when several variants of a set piece exists (usually the boots.)

For example, the default costume in character create for a Valkyrie is 00 0002 which can then be mapped as:
Upper Body: PVW_00_UB_0002.PAC
Hand: PVW_00_HAND_0002.PAC
Foot: PVW_00_FOOT_0002.PAC
Foot V2: PVW_00_FOOT_0002_01.PAC

I could go on forever on how to use these to do your model swaps and mix and matching, but fortunately BlackFireBR's excellent guide should cover your needs.

With that out of the way, here are the costumes!

I found something interesting.
The item name 10 0010 is never released at the KR version.
It was only released to the JP version only for the kunoichi.
But as you showed above.., It was already existed in the system!! not only for the kunoichi but also valkyrie
And I tried to swap the basic armor of archer to the 10 0010 at the KR version.
10 0010 for archer is also exist in the system.
I love what you have done. thanks.

Could you look through Sorceress' models?
Sorceress it is!

I might take a little while to do the next dump, I'm considering writing an app for multimodeldesc.xml modifying to make it easier to change batches of costumes and whatnot.

How do you do that? I mean, how do you preview all the armors in-game even the ones that are not available yet and how do you find the correspondence to the file names?

The first thing I did was figure out which outfits were shown in the character creation outfit menu. Once I found out the codes for each one (8 of them), I basically just opened up the upperbody folder which contains all the pac files for a class (I linked you all the Sorc ones on your thread). Then in batches of 8, I just went down the file list in the model folder, replacing the outfits in character create. Then I would just launch the game and go screenshot all 8 of them in character creation. Once I got used to the process I could quite efficiently go through all the outfits within an hour.

Yeah, I though about doing that too, but I though that there would be a easier way to do this, because it's a lot of armors.

I'm thinking on creating a Topic dedicated only to this File References. I've even made a prototype of how the topic will look like.

Click on the Spoiler button bellow to see what I have in mind:

Code:
<Conditional Code="U">
    <Model Index="-"></Model>
    <Model Index="U"></Model>
</Conditional>

The idea is that the person can choose which armor set , class and part they want to know the code to remove.

I've already saved the images for all the current armors in the game, from the website bdo-fashion.com/ and now I'm working on a Java program, that can generate the .xml blocks for me, and later, even generate the BBCode for that.

What do you think?

You pretty much have the same idea as me for the app that generates xml blocks, though I'm doing it in .NET :)

I first started to attempt figuring out how to view the pac files in a model viewer and in fact there were a few people who did it years ago, however they got taken down by Daum. After messing around with it for a while I ended up just going through the client since I was my xml editing efficiency had reached to the point where it didn't feel that tedious anymore. Plus I enjoy seeing the costumes on my characters.

I am being able to open and view the .PAC models with the 3D Object Converter
3d1.jpg

The problem is that some meshes are very weid, since it opens without the texture and only the real upperbody part of the mesh, sometimes:
3d2.jpg

It keeps asking me for a .pab file though. I don't know how to find it so I put a generic .pac and the program accepts it.
3d3.jpg

If you know how to find this .pab, let me know.

Oh sweet! There's a pab file inside the 2_phw folder if you extracted the PAZ files I mentioned before. It adds a whole lot of bones to the bones list but don't really see any difference. I also managed to find some armor textures and loading them together with the pac file is looking promising!

EDIT: Actually that PAB file did so something - clicking on 'Bones' shows the bone structure of the full model. Pretty neat.

Awesome! I didn't see the .pab file one folder level below where the .pac were.

How did you get the textures again? You found the texture of the armor and you renamed it so the program could find it?
This what happens when I don't put any texture in the same folder:
3d03.jpg

EDIT: Found a way.
The texture are all located at "Paz\character\texture"

The Sorceress textures are located in PAZ01009 - PAZ01027. Once you have all the dds files, chuck them all into the same folder as the pac files (or make a new folder and copy them all to keep the originals clean). I've found that some of the Sorc models actually use various other textures with other class prefixes, but otherwise most things get textured not too badly.
