Account deletion requests

For some reason the ugly looking warning/disclaimer I had on the registration page stopped displaying and I realized it was the only place where it was posted so I figured I should post some fun facts and solutions to your concerns in a sticky thread.

Fun facts:
1. We automatically delete accounts that have been inactive for 6 months if they've made 1 or no posts. Just walk away if you want your account deleted.

2. We flush IP logs every 48 hours, because we only need it for troubleshooting and setting up bans for spammers.

3. We require a valid e-mail for registration to make life harder for spammers and to maintain our e-mail delivery rates.

4. Signed up with an e-mail that you don't want associated with an adult website? You can change the e-mail assigned to your account literally at any time. By the way, we don't send out any newsletters or actual content by e-mail. We only send notification messages. You can tune what kind of e-mails you receive on the same page you update your e-mail address.

5. Signed up with your favorite online handle and you're worried your buddies will find out you like to get down on some sweet, off-beat porn? You can change your username once a year.

6. Posted something a racist uncle would say? Made a slip and actually gave that internet tough guy your home address? Any post made by you can be edited/deleted by you.

7. Notice how we ask for basically no personal information and don't require SMS verification? It's because we don't care who you are unless you're trying to cause problems for our community.

8. The only person that can scrub an account manually is me and I won't do it on request unless you've built a positive reputation with the community. 99% of these requests come from people with 1 post or less, which is covered by fun fact #1.

9. If you meet the criteria for automatic pruning and you PM me or another staff member asking for your account to be removed manually, you'll most likely get no response. If they're feeling nice, they'll probably just point you to this thread. If you don't meet the criteria, don't PM other staff members. They can't do anything for you. Send those to me.

Any questions? Please ask in this thread.
